'10 GLK 350 Capri Blue/Black
West Loop Auto Body, Chicago
My C32 was hit hard by some high-school kids that ran a red light after Lollapalooza on Saturday night. They had a '95 Chevy Blazer that flipped over in the middle of Madison St. My car is pretty much trashed from the front wheels forward. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
The tow truck owner (showed up in an E55 which gave him some credibility) recommended West Loop Auto Body in Chicago. He said they had worked on his E55 before, and that they're the kind of shop that will even order the paint from AMG in Germany instead of trying to mix their own.
Has anybody had any experience with this particular shop? The reviews I've read online have been mixed at best.
Guess this gives me an opportunity to pick up a CL-grille and some clear headlights.

Damn that sucks! I have no experience with them, but they sound pretty reputable from what the truck owner said.
On a lighter note, how was Lollapalooza? I couldn't make it for friday or sat! Grr...

I wish I knew! I didn't get tickets in time and I couldn't hear too well from my balcony. I was just dropping my girlfriend off at a birthday party - she feels guilty.
The kids that hit me said it was pretty sweet though...

Thanks for the tips guys. Unfortunately, I have to go somewhere that Indiana Farm Bureau insurance uses since I don't want to pay my deductable.
If I have any problems with these guys I'll be sure to take it to one of the others you've suggested.
By the way, they gave me an '07 Altima, I can honestly say the CVT transmission is total crap!

I used Westmont Body Works before and can recommend them. My 03M3 had some body work done there (lady backed into the front of my M3) and they did a perfect color match of my carbon-black metallic paint. Very high quality job.

Thought I'd post a few pictures, every time I see them I just get depressed. Of particular note is the damage to the other car vs. my C32. Built like a tank!
