i know this because of an email he sent me a few days ago. i sent back a defective SB he promised me a refund on, but i still don't have the refund after 2 months of his receipt.

paypal has denied my claim because an undelivered refund does not meet their criteria for filing a complaint. my CC has a 120 day deadline for the same and i missed it by 6 days. at this point, not much i can do but wait to see whether he's a man of his word. one thing i do know is, his credibility around here is shot.

i hope you guys get your SBs or refunds.

Thanks for that info!

Much appreciated... well my cash went through straight away when i paid him for my sprint booster, bet he was having no troubles then with his account! lol ....

Sorry to hear that you got a bit "screwed" as well as the thread started....
We will hold thumbs for you and see if this guy is a man of his word.

G/luck

I ordered mine through;

Andy Wong
sale@PartsExporter.com

He sent is RUSH EMS to me, I got it in like 2 days. He also marked it as a gift/$0 value so I paid ZERO customs on it.

That's awesome because when you are in Canada, you are either ordering from the U.S or Overseas and always get nailed..

Great service here!

FYI. I emailed SLKFANS.com and got no response...

Nice new contact there for this product....

Let us know how good it is again, i need some inspiration here. ! lol

I just tried to file a dispute with paypal to get my money back and its all quite ironic. Firstly you have to do it within 45 calendar days I think, which i am well over that now.... My payment was made 6 June , so think o damn to late right, its nearly 3 months ago! Anyway so i try to continue filing and then it picks up the the package is being sent to a foreign country and i get a strong suggestion to wait a bit longer before filing as it might be a delay in postage or at customs! So does the 45 calendar day not count anymore? Go figure!

Ok so went through the whole filing a dispute process thru paypal and have been waiting for a response, next thing i get an email about filing in a servey on how my dispute was conducted, but i only have 5 days to fill it in! No money in my bank yet and no confirmation on what is happening. So i wait up to the max of 5 days, then decide i still have nothing so go thru the servey obviously marking everything very negatively as i have been handled. Well still no responses and no money! like 2 weeks later. I log onto paypal and eventually see that my case was closed the same day i opened it as i did not meet there filing requirements . !!! WTF ! is that suppose to mean now...? how did you guys get your refunds ? Is it cause i live in africa and they know they can get away with it or what. Some ******* has my $250. Crumbs it must be so easy....

sorry to hear...maybe your bank can help.

i explained my particular situation to my banker(with whom i have a good relationship) and he said he would look into it and try to help me recover the funds. he called later the same day and told me a partial refund from their fraud department was the best he could do and that $200 would be deposited into my account.

my banker mistakenly thought that paypal took the money directly out of my bank account, while in fact, it was linked to a credit card. i guess we had some miscommunication, but he said that was fine.

however, the preceding does not mean i've let this go. i am still trying to get my CC company(my bank) to recover the the entire $270 from paypal and refund my CC. why should the fraud department have to cover SLKFANS?!!! a ton of documentation is required and then 4-6 weeks of waiting... almost not worth it, since i'm down only $70.... but on principle alone, it is.

anyway, i just wanted to offer an avenue that maybe you hadn't considered. good luck.

Paypal protection is awful. If you're purchasing something from a stranger and must use paypal, fund it with a card that has excellent protection, like a good AMEX. If there is a problem, contact the card immediately. It is much quicker and easier than Paypal. With AMEX, you make one phone call and it's over with -- no paperwork or follow up.

Thanks for the replies, and suggestions guys!

Our banks here are just so freaking useless is frightening so am unfortunately gonna have to write this one off to bad debt and judgement. However i am gonna conitinue e-mailing paypal letting them know how shocking they are and their particular customer satisfaction worries are dismall.

So now the question is , is the sprint booster worth $500.00 ?
Is it that good a mod?

I paid 299.00 for mine from Andy, Installed it today and it was worth every penny. Make the E Throttle feel like a "real throttle" now. Thanks for the advice Victor!! Oh, it took only 3 days to get here, hows that for service???

anyone want to answer the question about the A1 and A2 version. I had the A2 version and didn't like it nearly as much as the A1, with my new xfire I am worried about possibly doing some damage with the A1. I know guys over on the Xfire forums who have been running the A1 the whole time, even though there is a detuned A2 version.

Who knows anything about this and possible damage to the auto trans, or engine ?

The sprint booster just achieves better throttle response correct? I was reading a few posts that people claimed better shift times too but I don't see how that's possible.

The difference between A1 and A2 is that A1 is MUCH MORE aggressive than A2. A1 was originally designed for all Mercedes models including AMGs. It was basically a generic version to all Mercedes. However, since many people started adding more hp and much more torque to the already high hp AMG engines, some people reported having issues with the car being too jumpy and sometimes throwing throttle error codes. As a result, they designed the A2 version, a less aggressive version, designed to work well with AMGs and even highly modded AMGs.
