I did not know you were into bikes too. I have a Harley V-Rod and just sold my 2004 GSXR 1000 a couple months ago. I have been eying out the R1. Any suggestions on what year? I sold the Gixxer thinking I will be happy with just the V-Rod now I am wishing I did not. There are some days where I just wake up and need to go from 0-100 in a couple sec's and then put it away. The V-rod has plenty of power for a cruiser but nothing like the Liter bikes. It was always a hard decision in the AM to look at the Gixxer, V-Rod or C32 and decide what the flavor was today. At least with the Gixxer you know no matter who you ran into you were coming out on top and most of the time on one wheel.

Just another question while we are discussing competition....how will a stock C32 fair up against a stock C5 vette? I know the vette has a range of 345-350hp but thats about it but that don't always matter so has anyone raced stock for stock against a C5 vette?

Well it won't be as powerful as your old Gixxer but the 2002 R1 is a hell of a looker in silver and black and still has ooomph...no matter what imo there is not cruiser that gives you the feeling of a liter bike(crotck rocket)

Any newer 2001 + 1000 is way more power than you can really use. I try to squeeze every itch of power out of it but sometimes not enough road

Are you saying that a Trans AM WS6 couldn't pull away from a 350Z?

The 350 could have been modded which a modded 350Z could be expected to be equal or better then a WS6. The thing is we don't know But I can assure you that the WS6 is operating fine...

Also I did mention the WS6 was automatic and not stiock...

To the normal beings like you and me but I can assure you when I was in the R1 forum that if they could have MoyoGP style bikes they would....we are talkin about 225 hp and 350 lbs wet...like 150 hp is not enough.

Thats funny i races a 2002 ws6 six speed today on my way to my mothers house and when i hit 2nd gear i just started pulling away from him.when i slowed down he asked me to lower my window (a/c was on) and with great amazement askes what was in my car all i said was a v6 his face was worth a million dollars.I was also supprised as i really was not expecting to pull on him especially with the a/c on. I think hell think twice next time he sees an amg c32.btw my c32 is stock.All i can say is amg.
