Turn Signal Problem

My turn signal seem to come on when ever they want. This seems to happen more often when I hit a bump, so I'm thinking there maybe a loose wire, but I don't know where to start looking. The turn signal some time stays on for a good minute and then turns off by itself. I try using the turn signal lever to stop it, but it has no effect. I want to see if some one has an idea what it might be, before I take it to the dealer.

Is it both front and back?...there is an upgraded replacement for the front wiring harness which is a known problem. Of course they want like $300 for it when min started acting up about 1 millisecond after warranty was up.

Yes, it is both the front and back turn signals that turn on when I hit a slight bump and some time they come on when ever. I still have warranty on my car so hopefully if that is the problem it will be taken care of by the dealer.

For some reason I was under the impression that some thing corrodes, a connection or something. So I'm assuiming it's the connection on the front wiring harness that is causing this problem, but are the front turn signals suppose to be the ones affected, or are both front and back are affected? Becasue both of front and back turn signals turn on. Both my turn signals work when I want them too as well as the emergency lights, but when they start blinking on their own, then I have no control over my turn signals.

My understanding is that the replacement component is for the front only, but that doesn't mean that a problem with the front couldn't affect the rear?...

I went to Star Motors, a dealer, in Houston, TX becasue my turn signal were coming on and off by themselves. I figured I would get my seat issue fixed and check whether my intercooler pump was going bad as well. They gave me a rental which, I ended up paying $60 for two days for, they covered $35 in addition and it was not a mercedes. So the next day they say it's ready. They say the only problem was that I had a faulty siren on my car and they ran the daignostic on my car and found no problem with the pump. I couldn't make it that day because every one leaves at 630 and the traffic and the rain would not allow me enough time to go pick it up.

I get there on saturday and there are no mechanics nor service advisors. They give me the car, which looks like it was half washed and then I notice the turn signal problem still there and my seat problem was there as well. So I took it to them and they did not fix the original problem I was having with the car. The car still feels sluggish as well. Atleast the siren was fixed and I also noticed that the previous owner had put the car on the netherlands setting. I now have beeps when I lock the car. I have to wait till tuesday to take them the car, but I don't want too continue having the same problem with them.

So I've been driving around with my turn signals going haywire, I try not to drive too far from my house. Well, I guess I got a little upset at the car and hit the steering wheel with my fist, the clicking of the turn signals drives me crazy. What do you know, when I hit it the turn signals would turn off. I did this for a while and it worked to quell the porblem temporarily. So I think there may be a loose wire in the turn signal stalk. I'm just upset they did not fix what needed to be fixed on my car. Atleast now I don't have to wait for them trouble shoot the car, which seem that they are uncapable of doing. The seat module needs to be replaced and the turn signal stalk or a loose wire needs to be fixed.
