S2000 with 9000rpm doesn't seem to have lot of problem...

The corvette is a fast car - thats right. But If you race with a corvette against the M3 you will lose the reace after passing the first curve (or bend - whats the right word?). You have definitively no chance against the M3 in the curves.
Thats the only big advantage of BMW.

I was at an autocross with my C32 a couple weeks ago. The couple of Z06s (one in particular) were eating up the course. This was in a light rain which should have minimized their power advantage. I was as quick as most of the M3s (E36 and E46) but no where near the Z06. For pure performance for the money it can't be beat. But for us dads with kids and need four doors, we do a good job keeping close.
The Suburu WRXs were pretty quick too, but then again it was raining.
