u can re-paint your rear calipers and put a Benz sticker on it, if u want to just go for looks.
Ah, I don't actually care about the calipers, I want the rear discs to match the fronts...they look so mundane and un-AMG worthy!

Wow.
Are those the rotors from Evosport?
Guess you had to remove those weights!

drive someone else's C32 with suspension upgrades and you'll know how ****ty the C32 handles on the stock North American suspension is. Or just drive a C55 and see how it handles. retuned spring rate and damper rate of the C55 made a whole lot of difference.

so would a C55 stock suspension make that much of a difference on a C32, i have a friend who is up grading this stock C55 suspension to some coil overs so i can possibly buy his setup? do u think it would be worth it?

it would make some what of a difference since the C55 suspension is firmer and stiffer, but it depends on how much he want to offer them to you.

even by just changing the springs to H&R, Eibach, or RENNtech the understeering characteristic will be a lot improved.

changing the springs will that also drop the hight of the car?

they are lighter then current C32/C55 bake setup for sure. i weight my caliper before and posted the results on this form u can find the post and then u can check the weight of ur current brakes and compare it. i'm sure they are lighter then the current C32/C55 setup.

this setup is really $$$ at the dealer, but i got them from Sunil. for around $4500 i think.
Really, really nice.

Given the paper-thin space between the calipers and the wheel, is there any concern about heat expansion of the calipers causing them to contact rim under heavy braking?

Nop, i have tried semi hard braking there is no problems at all. i have not had them hit the rim at all and dont expect them to hit.

Harry, CONGRATS on the new brakes, they look great! I am waiting the arrival of the same setup for my 03CLK55. You posted some great installation photos of your setup. Could you post a few shots detailing the back of both (the front and rear rotor and caliper)? How did you address the rear brake shield? Did you trim it or replace it? Since I will have to address the same problem when I install the rear calipers, I would like to see how you dealt with this issue. Thanks

I personally think the second one because it pushes debris eg brake dust away from the rotor outwards whereas the first pushes it inward to the centre of the rotor.

If that makes sense!?
you can only install the AMG rotors one way as they are not slotted separately for the left and right. So on one side the slot will be forward and the other side will be backwards.

sure i can take some more pic and post them up, but for the most part i had to use the stock bolts to bolt on the rear calipers because the bolts i got with the new setup did not even fit the caliper leave alone the car, for the rear heat shield i just cut enough of an opening to fit the calipers and the heat shield has to be pushed back a little bit u dont need to take it off just bend it back a little bit so that rotors dont rub while they spin.

Harry, did you replace the lines with Stainless Steel? I'm curious, with these brakes, if the stainless steel lines for the w203 are cross-compatible.

i dont have the stainless steel lines, but everything was a direct bolt on. i had to do no modifications other then cutting the rear brake shield. so i'm sure if u have them working on the w203 now u should have no problems putting them on this setup

OMG, the Brembo GT kit is a lot more expensive. Fronts are more expensive than this whole kit! Well, if we're referring to the 6 piston caliper Brembo GT's.
