Help me find a car!
Oh my. I test drove a 02 C32 AMG this afternoon. I'm almost speechless. What a BLAST!
I have been shopping for an E320 or E500 for the past 5 months and just have not come across the right combo. I happen to run across a C32 and although I thought the C Class was to small for my tastes I was immediately persuaded by the performance to overlook the size difference.
Now, the hunt is on. I have looked on the Classifieds on this website, Cars.com, Autotrader.com and Craigslist and eBay. I live in Utah and I'm am willing to travel up to 1500 miles to get the right car.
If anyone happens to come across a deal on a clean 02-03 PLEASE let me know. I would like to be under $25k.
The one I test drove just wasn't clean enough for me. To many cracks and scrapes.

Just do a search on Cars.com for all C55's and it should come up. Grey with tan leather, chrome wheels it looks brand new from the pic's they have posted....It's a little far from me here in Chi-town, but not to bad for you probably

Welcome to our small secret society of C-class AMG fanatics. The cars are amazing.
You will likely have to "import" a car from another state but, lucky for you, rarity does not in this case mean tremendous expense. If you're just a little bit patient, you will find a great car and love owning it.

No matter your descision buy one with warranty or extended warranty! If you plan to Mod it then C32 is better choice(I bought mine and though the power and suspension was more then adequate I got sucked in willingly and will have pulleys,headers and sortware installed next spring
) You are much more limited to what you can do to the 2005 and up V8s in the C55 but it seems to be more better made compared to the C32 by what I read in these forums. The C55 have a fresher look with more eye-catching details but you can mod the C32 to have alot of what the C55 has. Coming from a BMW I say take a C55 for a test drive also cause to my understanding the suspension is tighter thus better feel of the road but you can get better suspension parts for the C32 also. Research this forum and you will read the good and bads of each vehicle. Good Hunting!

If it were me looking all over again.. I would pick up a late 03 or an 04 with bi-xenons with around 60k miles on the clock + a warranty. You should be able to get an 03 around 25k without much problem.

I haven't seen any 04's in the 25k range that don't have 90k + miles on it. I don't think I would buy one with over 60k.
Let me know if anyone comes across one that fits the bill.

I live in Md and have a silver 02 with 38000 mi and in exc shape. The bottom seat heater went out other the that all is great. It also has lowering springs on it and air filters and the spliter. Make me a offer.

I am interested in selling my silver 02 C32. It has high miles (90K) but has starmark for another 10k and is in great condition. Also, I have done just about everything under the sun in terms of addressing the typical problems (all done by one dealer under warranty to the tune of about 7K or so).
I just bought H&R coilovers for it but haven't installed them yet.
I have a new baby just 6 weeks old and am looking to upsize a bit but figured I'd do at least one upgrade and enjoy it for a little while.

So, I recently learned that if a C32 didn't recieve the Navigation/CD upgrade, then it did not come with a CD player at all? So then, does the Nav/CD upgrade, upgrade the number/quality of the speakers and such?
That just seems... Crazy for a car of this caliber not to come standard with a CD player?

If you can afford 30k, I test drove a 2004 C32 with 16k on the odo. They will warranty the car to 100k for another 2k. They had 4 in stock.

After much consideration, I have narrowed it down to the Brilliant Silver. I like the black, but to hard to maintain.
