C32 AMG - RIP :(
i'd be interesting to know what the offset of the wheel is. I'm running 265/30/19 Goodyear F1's without any rubbing whatsoever.

I had the same tire on a 19x9.5 ET31, and it rubbed a lot. was on stock suspension too. rolled the fenders, but never got around to trimming the bumper clip.

i'd check the tires make sure you arent damaging them, most likely youre not and you don't need fenders rolled. there are posts here in the forum that will tell you what to trim inside the fender well to eliminate rubbing. some of those posts are 3-4 yrs old! pl search.

It's probably the tires. Squared profile sidewalls. My friend's C230 has the same issue with Kumhos.

it's definitely not the fenders they are already rolled as AWDman said... I have 19x10's with 265/30 19 on the back and I just trimmed the metal bumper clip back and got stiffer suspension. It's good now but if I hit a dip on the highway going fast it will barely rub on the sidewall area. I need to trim about 1/4 inch more and I'll be good.

I know several people with 19x9.5 with Nitto555's and they don't have the rubbing issue.

Can someone explain how to trim the bumper clips?
I trimed the plastic inside right up to the bumperclips (black metal looking thing) still a bit of rubbing.
I used to have conti's but they rubbed from time to time. I'm gonna take a trip to orlando soon with 3 friends and I dont want to be hearing the rubbing. Also want to resolve this issue for good.
thanks
mike

Put the rear up on jacks one at a time, remove the wheel and use a high speed dremel with a carbon metal cutting disc. Then trim. A drop light will be handy and some goggles. I'm not planning to remove my wheel anytime soon but I'm sure someone has a pic of the metal bracket.

Best way to see exactly where it's rubbing is get 5 people to sqeeze in your back seats and look under the wheel well with the wheel on. and you should be able to see where the rubbing is happening.

I know if I get some pss9's it will solve the issue.

good luck!

It likely just needs that clip ground down completely.

You can also re-located the bolt that hold the bumper to the body rearwards about an inch and then grind it down completely. If that does not work its never going to work. Do you see rubber on the fender lip? If so it needs rolling. But thats is EASY to determine.

I SMGC32 and I beat the body of his car until 285 (Well 275 R comp Nittos that had the section width equal to most street 285's) tires fit in the rear. It rubbed a tad on the inside at the very bottom of travel but that was it. That took some serious work with weighted mallet.

265 should work fine with minor trimming and correct off-sets.

I had to remove a LOT of material. I finally don't rub at all even over bumps.
