Need some help! Car runs like crap
I just finished installing the sound system. I'll post pictures of that later but when I put the car back together, the check engine light came on and idle was rough. The car can't be driven. Revs will not go up without making noises from the engine. The whole car starts shaking. I don't understand it. I only replaced the sound system. Didn't touch the engine at all. I searched and came up with MAF sensor or coil pack or vacuum leaks. Has this ever happened to anyone here?

Did not replace the center speaker or mid-sub in the rear because it would've been too much work.

Disconnected the sound system and replaced the battery with the stock oem battery (interstate). Nothing. Idle is rough. Car can't be driven. Gonna clean the maf sensor and see if that helps.
Does anyone know where I can buy maf sensor for cheap. Cause the stealership charges way too much.

What model car is it? If it's a C32, then it doesn't have a MAF sensor.
Did you get the code that caused the MIL (Check Engine Light)?
Sounds like a sensor wire might be out of place, or an Ignition cable might be off.
First off, check the code. If you don't have a code reader, go get the cheap unit from autozone or sears.
It's could be the MAF (non C32), MAP (C32), or ignition cable. Did you mess with any wires near the ECU? Is the throttle body harness disconnected?
