Need help ~ Will these wheels fit the C32?

I know most of you don't like the old style look on the C32, but I love it. I have been considering a real set for a while now. However, I came across these replicas, and they have a deep dish. I think they look awesome The specs are 18x8.5F and 18X9.5R 38/40 offsets. The shop insists they fit of course. But I already had one bad wheel experience when I first got the car, and don't want to have another one...I would prefer not to run spacers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thats what I was thinking. I wonder if a 3mm spacer will clear the brakes. At 8.5 up front, I am worried about the rim hitting the shock on the inside as well. I really wish I could test fit these before buying them...They are about two hours from me, so it would be worth going down to try them out, if they would be willing. I could always buy the real ones, but I love that deep dish on these

Brandon the stock 8.5 rear rim fits front fine and it's 34 mm et. so...if you get enough clearance for calipers with a 3 mm spacer then you should be fine as that will replicate the dimensions of the stoc 8.5.

also may need a spacer in rear as well, just to push out wheel a bit.

Actualy I have one of those rims ( use it as spare ).
Those are perfect fit but you have to use bolts from C320 or any other c-class for spare. ( shorter bolts ).
Brand new rims from discount tire w/ bolts will run you $137 ae. + tax.
Thats where I bouth mine (didn't have time to shop around- weekend on the road needed spare immidiately ).

Sorry didn't notice those r 18" , mine is 17"
disregard above info.

Regards
Jack

you'll need at least a 5mm spacer in front, but it'll be close to the caliper. Even bigger if you have coilovers. and maybe a 5mm in the rear if it hits the shock.

edit: these will fit right without spacers- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-8-...em190156505089

humm

you stated 38/40

stock C32 fronts are 37mm and 38 should clear your BBKs
rear em c32 runs 34mm, 40 is way enough, but i think reel might be right, it might hit something in the rear if you have High profile tires.

stock C32 is 7.5"/8.5" wide.

these are 8.5"/9.5" wide.

width changes the offset

that statement does not make sense. the stock 8.5 34 et rims is very close to rubbing a 245 tire on shock tube. hence me saying a 3mm spacer is prob needed.

You can see why I asked

I have considered the rims on the eBay link provided. I imagined they would fit perfect. However, I love the look of that deep dish version. With an 8.5 rim up front, I think a spacer is going to push it out a little past the fender, which I would rather not do. I guess I could purchase the 9.5 rears, then get a normal set for the front...? That way I get the deep dish look I want in the rear, and don't have to worry about the front clearance. Hmmmm....I really want to make them work lol.

you can go up to an ET25 up front and it won't stick out. Most w/ coilovers are running ET27-ET30

wrong. i have personally test fitted an asa st4 wheel about 1.5 yrs ago - it was old school classic 5 spoke amg style. size 18x8 et was 25, tire was 235/40 and it stuck out to point where it would have hit the fender- rolling would not have helped.

there is not much space in front fender twix strut tube and fender lip....i'm trying like crazy to fit 255 track tires and can tell you it's not easy. the realistic max is 245 tires on 35et front rim of width 7.5 to 8.5 inches.

the only way an 25et rims will fit upfront is if it's 7.5" wide and you run a 225 tire.

i have test fitted AT LEAST 6 sets of rims on the c32.

rlee- if you don't know what you are talking about then don't talk. you're going to cost someone money.

brandon- a 3mm spacer will not cause probs with fender, assuming you clear the brakes.

i know what i'm talking about.

i was referring to the 8.5" wide wheels, which will NOT stick out at ET25.

most 8.5" wheels with an ET of 32+ will hit the coilover. I have ET35 and coilovers, but i have an 8" wide wheel.
