Track Day Results - Chicago MB Meet

Well, I don't what to say other than wow. I was on cloud 9 most of the day and I can't wait to get back.

We rented the track at US 41 Dragway in Indiana. There were only 4 cars there, and we all got about 20 runs each.

The cars:

W211 E55 (ChicagoX)
W210 E55 (Samas)
C32 (C32Used)
C32 (Amg-Jerry)

We ran so many times and tried out so many new things on the track. I can tell you that the following statements are facts and have been track tested over and over today.

W211 E55 is faster than a stock C32.
Stock C32 is as fast as a lightly modded W210 E55.
A modded C32 is as fast as a stock E55. Well, my modded C32.
A W210 E55 has some serious power. I love the car Samas.

I have about 20-25 time slips and will be more than happy to pull some numbers from the different runs if you want.

I managed to pull my best ET of 12.5x and MPH of 112. If I could figure out how to get the power to the wheels without the tires spinning, the N02 would have done more. As soon as I hit the N02 the tires would slip again. Without the juice I was able to pull off a 12.8 and 110 trap.

ChicagoX has 17 years of drag experience and showed me a few things. He also made it very hard to race him and win. I think the end result was 2 wins by the W211 E55 and 2 wins by the C32.

Who wants to see a video? Yes, I was running with the N02 in this video.

http://www.renntechc32.com/movies/C32vsW211E55.mpg (File - Save as please....slow server)

Anyways, I can't wait for the guys to get home and chime in. I had so much fun and can't wait to do it again. Next time, I'm bringing the burgers and dogs Wayne. Thanks for the support and great time. You have on monster E55.

Please post up all of the videos you have guys....I'm sure everyone wants to see them.

Yeah, the guys were saying that the tires were spinning after I hit the N02. I didn't know it until I let someone else drive.

No, my 12.5 ET was not @ 112mph. Those were my best numbers during the day.

Wayne is a faster driver than me and I still think that the E55 is faster than my car. However, it all comes down to the driver. Wayne can attest that a bad launch or a not so perfect RT will make it very hard for the E55 to play catch up.

I'm car 3, Wayne is 1

We have tons of slips, but this is the one I told Wayne I was going to frame. This was a close race, and we were side by side the whole time. If I remember right, he said he couldn't get past my front tire. Very good race.

The camera mount is great. You can find out more on it here.

Let me stress again that Wayne has the faster car and is the better driver. If we raced 10 times, I bet I would have only won 2 or 3 of those races.

That was great!!!

so you had a better 60 ft time , wayne had a superior r/t, cars were close and he won this race by 25/100ths of a second, essentially what he beat you on the tree. Looks like the two cars are very close indeed. wayne has alot of experience indeed. It is a "race' the car matters far less than the driver.

I raced an E63 last week and the MOV was .18/1000ths of a second. We were looking at eachother and neither car could gain an advantage. Looks like the N02 really wakens your ride, gotta get the spin to stop, I will mount the cam in my car for our event on 10/26 , that was cool

Your N02 engaged after 1/8th? he outraps you by 2 mph in the 1/8th then you end up besting the 55 at the end of the 1/4 mile? Wow

FASTEST C32 In The Country !!!!

All I have to say is WOW Jerry You officially own the title of the FASTEST C32 in the country . I think Vadim had the fastest with 12.63 and I had 12.71, but you just destroyed both of our records

It seems like your car is responding really well to mods now

I wish I was there, sounds like it was a lot of fun !!!!!

GREAT RUNS Jerry

Nice to see your car making some fast passes. What tires are you currnetly running that they would break loose mid track? Try Brigestone 050 PP's, or go to a drag radial my friend, I know you know this, but I am dying to see your car run low 12's

Anyway, CONGRATS and great vids!!!

See yeah

Great job Jerry!

I am glad to see the numbers reflecting all the time, effort, and money you have invested in the car.

I am looking forward to seeing you continue to work the time down. Next stop 12.2

No, there are faster C32's out there. I'm making around 330Whp on a dyno dynamics and I know some guys are pushing 350whp. Thanks for the props though. The car is running good and I should be happy with her performance. We banged on the car for hours with run after run with the N02 and I decided to quit after throwing a CEL. Turns out the code was just telling me that my A/F ratio was changing too much. One minute it would be 13:1, and the next it would be 12:1.

Thanks man! Would you believe that I was running Nitto NT555R drag radials? Even warming them up didn't help.

What an awesome time. Your car is bloody fast, Jerry.

I was well heat-soaked in the afternoon, having run a string of 12.1x's @ 115 in the morning (new PB !!!)

The slip posted was my best race in a long time. I had a good tree, but got a bit greedy with the loud pedal and hazed the tires for just a fraction of a second- long enough for Jerry to squeeze his way ahead of me for the rest of the run.

I blame the passenger.

I will post up some pics and vids this afternoon when I land in Michigan. Thanks again for an awesome day, guys.

Quaife LSD definately helps, it made a very noticable difference on my C32, especially for a car with as much mods as yours but then again, even the almighty Quaife can NOT stop that torque monster from spinning
