Well fronts are fine as are all rotors... I have yet to install the rear pads but thinking on getting new Morse front pads as well as new rotors and doing full brake job instead.

I swapped mine for Ceramic Akebonos from TireRack and I love how they hardly dust anymore. I've noticed that our E550 must have new OEM pads that don't dust as much either since it rarely needs wheel cleaning. I guess Mercedes finally got the memo.

Well my last response was almost a year back so my current review is after much DD and track time these Morse Ceramic pads are working great still absolutely no visible brake dust and still holding strong. Going to replace all rotors so will use new brakes by Morse again but the good thing is there are now rear pads offered which I already bought just need to get the rotors and new set of front Morse CP.

I guess since this thread is back from the dead, I should update my experience. My wheels stay completely clear of brake dust for weeks and I generally only have to clean them because of dirt from the road. Only problem with the Akebonos is that they squeak like crazy after startup. My friend's S2000 and our E550 do the same thing. But for no dust, it seems fine with me.
I think I'll try the EBC pads next.

You guys have convinced me to also switch to ceramics when it comes time. I would also be interested in seeing how c32used's experience with his new rotors turns out. I'm constantly searching for rotors, but I can never tell if a rotor is good or crap. There seems to be 200 companies with what seems to be the same product.

i'm in the market for ceramic brake pads and wondering what people here preferred.
has anyone tried both morse and akebono? if so, which do you find better in terms of noise and reduced dust?

Well I can't speak for Akebano only Morse but alot in this forum have used Akebano with fabulous results...I wanted Akebano but the price was to steep in my opinion so I researched thru this forum and 230k forum and decided to go with the Morse. If you read thru my posts you know I am very content with the full potential of performance I get from them.

I bought the Morse ceramic which may appear as different name F for like $60 a pair, R for like $40 a pair at auto-zone they are special order and need to be pre-ordered. Ask for Mose but I think its manufactured by friction master

Bringing this thread back because dealer told me today I need new rear rotors and pads. Did you ever install your new rotors and Morse pads? How are the rotors holding up? Still loving the Morse pads? Didja weigh the stock rotors by chance when you made the swap?
Thanx!
