if you get the johnson pump you can use the electrical connector from your old pump on the johnson pump. thats what i did so there isn't any cutting from the car to splice wires. if you're interested... (sorry no pictures)
1. after you have the OEM pump off of the car.. turn it over to where the electrical connector is facing upward.
2. take a thin flat tip screw driver or a rivet popper and pop off the two(2) rivets that hold the black plastic connector to the pump.
3. take a pair of pliers and grip the connector (be careful not to crush or damage the black connecter) and pull and wiggle out... when you get the whole connector out you'll see there are cooper wires soldered to the connector... cut the wires and take your soldering iron and heat up the solder and take the left over wires off...
4. take your new pump and solder the positive + to the positive side of the connector.... the positive and negative sides are marked on the connector...
5. when you have both + & - sides soldered to the connector you can either take some electrical tape and tape up things or take some heat shrink and use that...
6... after you mount the new pump to the car try and get the connector and wires "zipped tied" to a location for easy plug and play.
