BEFORE (Stock HE) and AFTER (LET HE) IAT on the dyno
Some of ya'll may know I received my HE last Wed & brought
it to the Towers meet on Friday to show. Well I couldn't dyno
my car yesterday but today I got to it. The only difference
between the two datalogs is that one had the stock heat
exchanger and todays run has LET's (Erick) Heat Exchanger.
Both runs were made with the Johnson CM30 pump (which he
sells) and the install could've been done in under a hour if the
car was cooled overnight and worked on the first thing in the
morning.
One thing I suggest you to get is to get a gallon of coolant,
(4) hose clamps, (3) self-tapping screws, and patience in
removing the front bumper.
BEFORE: 19NOV07 Monday morning it was cool but still hot
as hell, gotta love South Florida weather.
AFTER: 11DEC07 Tuesday afternoong, hot as hell. I really
hate South Florida weather.
If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Yes Erick! Sending out the ECU tomorrow! This is why I was
holding back!

you would think the bigger HE would only make a diff under sustained hard running- the kind that uniformly heats up the coolant.
do you know the temps of the coolant resevior before your did the runs?
my car is stronger since codessmiths HE but i installed the c030 pump and attributed the performance to better cooling by more liquid flowing over the intercooler.....not that the coolant itself was at a lower temp.

dyno / drag strip and share it with ya guys.
for almost 3 years now. Met a Blue C32 from my neck of the woods so that
was pretty cool. The bad thing was I was driving around looking like a idiot
trying to cruise in a parking lot

You probably met Ernie who has a black opal 2004 C32. Relatively new but pretty handy, he's a gear head that will do upgrades by next year. Well next time I will be sure to catch you

Rey,
thanks so much for posting up this data, it confirms what i found way back when i first installed mine...looking good!
PS- you need to edit your signature to include the LETMotorsports Heat Exchanger...

me before you opened up LET.
OMG I should burn in hell for that. I have sigs & avatars off when watching
the forum. Guess what? Even though it was 15 degrees hotter since my
last visit on this Mustang dyno, I still made the SAME power IMAGINE
if it was 15 cooler like the last time?

C32 AMG
I think you are still going to make the same basic power, but the only difference is that you will not overheat and loose the power over time.
I really hate reading this thread because I now want one so bad but cant come up with the cash, lol.

to minimal and the power loss shouldn't be great as it would be with the
stock heat exchanger.
However the first run or two, it would be the peak HP/TQ, if it's 15 degrees
colder what would the car do?
PS. It's worth every penny

fully on, the car will shut down temporarly and then drive normal, while the
previous software couldn't flicker the Traction light for dear life unless I
partially disable it (ESP off). The pudding will be at the dyno and drag strip
which is coming soon Adam!
as hard as I nailed my C32
