The supercharger weighs that much. That's insane. Should be interesting to see how balanced the car becomes after every thing is all said and done. Any plans on further reducing weight on the car?

Well, needless to say we made some good progress. Plans changed during the middle of the project and the outcome will be a shocker.
Hopefully, Erick can get some pics up soon and show you guys what we are working on at this point.
All I can say is that the turbos won't fit up front...

here are a couple of pics, we are waiting on some more parts to come in now because the project changed directions from what we were originally going to do...couple of updates, because the pics obviously show a rear mounted setup, we are going with a true dual exhaust all the way back...also, we are going with an air to water intercooler setup, we will have more on this as the week progresses...

I can almost hear those spooling up now…as you head off toward the next zip-code.

If you are gonna do a rear setup, like I suggested a few pages back, why not do a single turbo after the resonator? It would be more cost effective and less fabrication. It's your show so I'm sure you have your reasons, just curious what the advantage of two turbos would be. Better spool maybe?

yup, but we are going to leave a couple of cats on the car just so it is emissions legal...that way the results will be the same for the end user...

Will lag be a problem? IIRC, especially with turbo systems, you want as little plumbing as possible, to mitigate the potential for turbo lag. Just seems that with rear-mounted turbos, you've then got to route the charge all the way back up-front... just seems like a long way to go.
While I don't doubt the increase in power output over the factory S/C setup, how are you planning on mitigating the potential for lag? I realize that two smaller turbos will have less lag than one larger one, but how do two smaller rear-mount turbos compare to one larger front-mounted turbo, lag-wise? Just curious... excited to see your results!

While the lag should be almost non-existent due to the sizing of the turbos, the traction gained out of the hole should be substantial.
Simply dumping the parasitic loss of the Kompressor should free up 60-80 HP of top-end insanity, IMO.
This seems like a win-win-win solution.
