My First Post

I'm now into my second week of C32 ownership and am very much loving it...

One question I have tho and I'm not sure if this has been answered before but you know the bit under the radio for storage. You sort of put your sunglasses there or ciggies or whatever.

Well I have found a problem - becase the car is fast - and that is not the problem I can assure you but...

I put my sunglasses in the holder thing in the dash below the radio and whenever I set off rather quickly they fly out past me.

What's going on here then - my porker used to have rubber on the bottom of the holder and nothing would fly out.

Has man resolved this issue or do I just have to drive slowly :-(

Many thanks for responses!!

Also am having great fun reading through the forum and finding lot's of stuff I now need to mod on my car :-)

Good forum all - glad to be here!!

Welcome!

Try the dedicated sunglass holder in the glove box! It's on the door.

I put my shades where the sun visor is... Like leave the ear pieces out and slid e them in there so that the visor is holding them in place.

Now for that cubby hole. There are little rubber things that you can buy at places like best buy or radio shack. I think that autozone may have them too, but I got mine at best buy for like 8 bucks.

What it is exactly is a rubber mat like piece that is intended to stay on your dash and you can rest your cell phone there or whatever you want. I didnt believe they work untill I got this one and tried to make my phone budge off the dash of my 349 RWHP TT350Z. Only time I got my cell phone to fly off was going around a corner at something like 80 - drift style.

So I just put that thing in the hole and nothing gets out. Cell phone, Bluetooth headset, Ipod... you name it, it goes and stays.

If you need help finding one, I can do some reaserch and find you an ebay auction or something, but look around... I am sure you can find one.

Excellent - thanks chaps so I now know for sure where to keep my sunglases, on my face :-) Thanks Jerry...

But I might not have mentioned that I'm in the UK and as we don't get sun we have to keep them elsewhere in order to see anything whilst driving :-)

Excellent idea corrosive - I think I have seen them ages ago in Tescos hopefully they still have them...

Thanks all for your feedback - I'll try not to post too many silly questions...

I used some of that Grip-it shelf liner. You know, the stuff you can put in drawers or cabinets to keep things from sliding around? Anyhow, I cut a piece of that to fit the compartment then covered it with a piece of black felt. Works like a charm. Also keeps extra keys and things from scratching the hard plastic.

Congrats on the new car!!

My sunglassholder in the glove box is tiny, i think only wireframes fit in those.
It's also a awkward place to store them
