stock vs stock it's a coin flip. manual 335 have seen dyno around 270-280rwhp and that's what stock C32 gets. I have my childhood friend's 335 coupe (stock and auto) on my driveway right now and when I drive it. It felt pretty similar to my car when it was stock before 90mph. I would say the 32 still pulls better on the top.

I heard the same thing with the 335 auto shifts faster than you can with the 6 speed.
Sounds like in both races modded and not it is a drivers race

to add to this debate, i raced a stock 335i about a month ago. it was myself and a friend in my C32, which has evosport pulley, filters, sprintbooster, and a full tank of gas at the time. The 335i was a sedan with THREE passengers. raced the guy twice, only beat him by about 1 car length. he said it was stock. it was kind of hard to believe but when i asked him about having a piggyback he didnt understand what i was saying. it must have been a very strong one from the factory or my car must have been a little warm from driving around for a while. either way, they are very fast cars.
i believe that a piggybacked 335i will be a very close race with a pulley/ecu C32. Also, it depends whether its auto/paddle or manual. i hear that BMW has gotten so good with their auto, that it shifts faster than any professional can shift a manual.

My brother bought a C32 and seems to be already starting trouble. I guess he is following my foot steps..lol. Some kid at his job challenged him, they are both stock. But i know how quick the 335 is, specially with a chip since it is the TT. The owner of the BMW says his 335I is stock though.
Questions is how will the C32 pair against it? Who do you see winning this race?. I am a former C32 owner before obtaining my E55 and I know how fast these C32's are. My C32 had ASP pulley though. Thanks for the input.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Like I wrote couple of days ago...
When I raced my stock C32 with a stock 335i (both auto-trannies)
I beat him without question.
So stock for stock the C32 shouldn't have any problems.

C32 AMG - RIP :(
it's nearly impossible to measure the 0-60 "potential" of a car like the SLR. It's making so much power that the 3.x sec 0-60 times that magazines have clocked is severly traction limited. If it could actually hook up from a dead stop without traction control and such interfering, it would be a 2.x sec 0-60 I'm sure.
For example, the 2003 Cobra I had was making around 500 hp at the wheels. On street tires the best 1/4 mile time I could manage was 12.2 or so with a 1.85 60 ft. But put some slicks on it and launch off the rev limiter and it would cut 1.5x 60 fts and run a full second faster in the 1/4 mile.
So....think about that. People here complain about stock C32's not getting grip from a dead stop. Try removing some weight and adding the horsepower from the SLR. An accurate 0-60 is basically unmeasurable with street tires.
So do I think the C63 could post similar 0-60 times as the SLR? Yes. If they both could launch with out traction problems.....it would be a seriously different race to 60mph.

Also, last year at one of our Sacramento drag sessions, somebody did bring an SLR with drag radials, and although he was able to cut down his E.T. by 0.2 seconds, his 0-60 mph recorded 3.7 to 3.8 consistently.
Honostly, I don't think the SLR can reach 2.x seconds even with all the traction in the world. Otherwise, you would've seen it all over the internet and through out different magazines and independent testers. Not even the "legendary" McLaren F1 (1000 lbs lighter) with super tires was able to crack 3.2 seconds, which although is a 15 year old car, still is the 3rd fastest production car in the world (240 mph top speed

Officially, I think only the Bugatti Veyron is rated at 2.5 seconds from the factory and verified by magazine tests as well.

2004 c32, 91 GMC SYCLONE AND AN 08 CBR 600RR(MAN THIS THING IS FAST)
It Is A Drivers Race Because My Friend Raced One In My Car At The Track (1/8th Mile)and The 335i Beat Him But It Was Because Of His Launch Now When I Went To Race Him He Didnt Want To Race Me Because I Had Beat An Srt-4 That Was Lightly Moded Acording To The Driver That Had Beat Him So If They Are Both Stock Then Yes Its All About The Driver. I Beat The Srt By Id Say About 2-3 Car Lenght And The Srt Beat Him By About 1 So Again It All About The Driver Just My .02
