Sunil,
What pieces from the CLK front end were installed to make room for the 113K? I'm helping a friend fit a E55 113K into a 203 wagon and any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am VERY interested in how this turns out. I plan on doing this with my CLK430 very shortly. Any advice as to what I should expect? I plan on swapping ECU/TCU/engine/trans/engine wire harness/instrument cluster. Anything else I may need? I hope it works!!! Do you plan on changing all the sensors (ABS/traction control/etc etc) in the car? Any help would be appreciated Sunil. I feel your pain on never having enough power!

Your biggest problem will be electronics integration due to the difference in generations. You will need the EIS (ignition switch) as well and depending on which year your car is, you may not be able to adapt a newer switch.

It is a 99. I can get the ignition switch off the same E55. But it seems like there is alot of work involved. I started a thread in the W211 E55 section. I was so excited too

How long does it take to remove the motor and how long to reinstall the motor? Just curious.

Jeff, I am not sure what book time recalls for a motor pull but it takes me about 4-5 hours on a c class.

Well, the correct oil pump and pan showed up today. They were installed on the motor this evening. The entire motor goes in tomorrow afternoon. Pics to follow. Bumper and fenders came in already. Waiting for hood now and these parts will go off to the paint booth.

Just wanted to update the thread and let you know that Project X55 is coming along nicely.

The engine is now in the car!!!!!! Next step is to connect up all the electronics and then onto trying to get this beast started!!

Here are a few pics of the incoming engine.

See it fits... I wonder what 700hp in this chasis would be like??
