The big boys started small too once and I bet they are watching all competitors now in order to find ways to keep them small. AT&T didn't die of when Ameritech bought them out or even Cingular they just layed low to see what to do next and thru good and bad deals they are as strong as ever....Competitions brings out the best in everyone eventually...thats why its best to have many vendors opposed to a few.
While the AT&T example doesn't make any sense to me (AT&T, deemed an unfair monopoly in the U.S., was broken into 20+ companies in the 80s, one named SBC has gradually acquired roughly half of those other companies such as Ameritech et al., and has since re-branded itself "the new AT&T" to benefit from the positive brand equity associated with AT&T - so how this analogy could apply to MB tuners, I have no idea...? )

However, I do agree with your last sentence (in bold above), which is why I'm happy to be a C32 owner these days

I used AT&T as an example by how the "big boys" pretend to not care about certain things...then they act like they do thus maintaining their statis. But back to AT&T momentarily....don't you think they are just trying to monopolize again? I worked thru them in the broadband technology and honestly the only reason why that didn't take off was cause to upgrade cable systems to be telephony ready everywhere was to expensive and now they sold to become the "new AT&T" going back to try to take over the TV thru satelite internet thru phone lines again and local phone as well as long distance...I had stock in @home internet and AT&T build a system over @home and let them sink to take over once again.... made me lose a few thousand! Companies like AT&T are just tyrants!

Most of the people need a phone while modding your Benz well its not just a phone. There is more to the deal than you think. I personlly won't give my car to just anyone. Its not about being a (bigdog) its about getting things done correctly. Many people claim they know but don't prove it. Btw are you mad at atat lol. I think they have great service.

Well said.

BTW - the new AT&T represents the largest wireless company in the United States, with more than 65 million subscribers who use the nation's largest digital voice and data network. Must be doing something right . But back to the main point...

This is becoming bigger then what it is really..it is obvious the meaning I meant wasn't translated to some properly by using this example...no matter what I still think the big boys keep an eye on all competition even if small compared to them.....in order to stay on top of the game. I have and still use wireless service thru AT&T and had nothing but great service besides the average service I get on my Iphone(and no I wasn't one of the first to buy it...lol) I worked with both corporate and the field people and got to see what Tyrants they are as many major huge companies..but they do what they can to survive right....even if it makes them a monopoly again.

I can't recall a time when AT&T wireless was anywhere near the smallest besides when they started off....to be honest you sound like a saleman for them... In todays world companies are doing what they can to survive even selling themselves to re-emerge again a few years later....lots of companies are merging that once in the past would not be imagined. Ok I am done with this subject before I hijack this thread....Sorry originator!

Be that as it may, the pricey Hooker’s on my ’70 SS/RS Camaro have been well worth their expenditure.

The miniscule market for our MB hotrod parts, and its accompanying economies of scale, dictates our choices and their commensurate investment. I’ve posted previously that I’m not a huge fan dynamometer figures and how they are obtained owing to the variables involved. The treadmill is okay for the gym...but what the heck difference does it make if you haven’t realistically improved where it actually matters? It’s all about how it performs on the dragstrip or road course, IMHO.

To that end, I’ve already purchased LET headers. Baseline (sanctioned event) figures have been duly recorded.
I will share their results with the forum upon installation.
John, when you get those headers let me know if you need some help installing them. I would be willing to hold a beer in one hand and assist with the other.

Almost pulled the trigger on a 72 455 H.0. but it wasn't as what the seller had described.....the hunt continues.
