Sprint Booster??

I've been trolling the Crossfire forums and noticed this is a pretty popular product over there recently. It looks like at one time it was popular over here as well. Has the popularity died down over here? Or have the owners been dissatisfied? They have a group buy through one of the local tuners, TVT Design, i think for 240.00. It seems like a good deal for better throttle response.

What are the thoughts on this?

The SprintBooster is pretty good for everyday driving especially when your car is still stock. But as soon as you start modding, the SprintBooster makes the car a little too "extreme"

Definately not a good idea in very cold environments where you have ice all over the place.

I don't think it died down it just became a normal must have product for many of us and it amazes many to all of those who have one installed but we all can't keep posting threads about it so most just post in any thread thats already created. I got mine for like $300 a few months ago so I feel $240 is a great deal....there is a second version of it well slightly different programming that is out so be aware of what you are buying.

Not true if you use the right version for the car. My friend C55 with sc'ed just switched over to the AMG version and it worked perfect.

I actually kinda liked that "extreme" effect it gave the car when I went to Stage 2+ on my C32, but too many people have complained about it on here and on the E55 forums as well

I thought when the Sprintbooster got installed in the warmer weather that in the cold and snow it would have to come out but all it took was getting used to it and when I had it installed my car was stock but now pullied and retuned it still works fine in the snow....self control is all thats needed.

At the beginning I felt the same but got used to it now. Wonder how those who have modded C32/55 or E55/63 that complained feel about it now.

The new AMG version worked great and it also cleared by Check Engine light caused by the Kleemann Cats triggering the O2 sensors. Does anybody know how that can happen? I am happy about it but don't know how a sprintbooster can actually do that?

i notice you mention tvt design. they are advertising on ebay (cheaper than that other place), making it appear as though they actually have them in stock and ups shipping takes 1-6 days. after purchasing one- i find out later they don't have a single one in stock and it will be drop shipped in 2 weeks. this is the first and last time i order anything through them, no matter the price.

I have the "AMG" (A2) version. I'm stage 2 and drive on ice all the time -- no issues. I love it. I can't imagine the car without it. Excellent mod.

I've spoken direct with the distributor and it appears as though they are also delayed for shipping about 2 weeks. I wouldn't jump to conclusions that quickly about TVT Design. I know there a lot of satisfied customers on the Crossfire Forum.

I've actually ordered mine from there as well and received the same response. But it's $30.00 cheaper then the competition, so 2 weeks is worth it.

I agree- their price is cheaper. However- it drives me insane when vendors list as though they actually have the items in hand. When in all reality- they don't. In some cases, they never will (they are drop shipped) and in other cases they are on back order. Either state in your auction they are drop shipped or back ordered- or quite simply- don't list it until you have it.

Have Kleeman remove the primary cat check from the ECU flash, or use secondary o2 sensor spacers. Either will take care of the CE light caused by no/high flow primary cats.

Thanks! I'll have Vadim take care of it. He's been very busy lately but promised to rid the CEL since he did the Kleemann install.

Gents, I was looking at the GF30.20-P-4011-02C drawing off the Star Service Manual that shows the breakdown of the accelerator pedal. What part does the spint booster replace or get put in line with? The kickdown switch?? Thanks!
