No rough idle at all.
Engine mounts are still suspect, at least from what I read on this forum in CLK section- couple of guys had similiar expirience and engine mounts were at fault.

Saga Continues
Vibration problem sorted out:
Flex disc and center bearing going bad- not a big deal.

Engin cutting off for split second at 2-3k rpms still driving me nuts.

So far rulled out:
1. Spark Plugs, Ignition Wires and Coils.- New plugs and wires, coils tested -ok
2. fuel pump - tested - ok
3. Injectors - tested -ok
4. Engine Scanned , rescanned for days at a time - no codes. I had sacanner pluged in for a week.

Any Ideas please help !!!!

Detail describtion of problem:

Full throtle - no problem pulls like a train.
Feather throthle or idle - no problem.
1/3- 1/2 throthle between 2-3k rpms (doesn't matter what gear, no shifting)
feels like engine cutts off for fraction of the second few times at the time.
When floored during jerking, problem goes away, until next 1/3-1/2 throthle.

Oh... BTW- stealers helpless, have no clue whats wrong.

Regards
Jack

I'm a total noob to these cars, but it sounds like it could be a TPS (Throttle Position sensor) issue.

My first guess would have been plugs and wires, but you've already crossed that off of the list. Good luck!

Thanks for the idea.

Will check it out. On the other hand wouldn't this trigger code for faulty sensor ?

I don't believe it would (as far as a check engine light, etc). Possibly a dealer scan tool would work (unless you've run it through one already).

Again, just throwing it out there. SRT-4's have a TPS problem, and one just went out in my girlfriend's Hyundai Tuscon.

Hey Jack,

This may be a long shot but, have you looked into this possibility?
https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/225947-jerk-chirp-saga.html

My cut-out/jerk happens at 2900 rpm under light acceleration too. Do you hear any "Chirp"? When I tried AMG-Jerry's suggestion, the jerk and chirp went away. Try it for yourself and see if that isolates the problem.

Scott

edit; sorry, I just noticed that you were a poster on that thread. Of course you read it. Duh.

Just got heart attack, call from Stealer w/ price for TPS -$1,150.00 - are they f... crazy !!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody has one for sale cheap?

Or better know how to test that SOB for faults.
I'm out of ideas.

Update
Data logger is in (thanks to link provided by Neihouma), monitoring throttle position, fuel preassure and timing advance.
Maybe this will shine some light on my problem.
