I'm on the hunt to get these modules....
I almost found them with a member selling E55 parts, but the connectors were all different.
I'm thinking that the revised W211 part has changed over the years.

the ones i found and I receive the pictures from the seller did not look the same connectors and I told him that I would keep looking.
I'm thinking the W211 were changed in 2007 or maybe 2006 like the one you found in your car.
I'll post pictures tomorrow of the ones I was being offered.

ok just wanted to give everyone a update. one of the modules i bought recently started giving me the same problem as before. i had to use my spare.
i'm convinced that all the c-class modules are junk. I would save and just buy the revised modules from the w211.

i'm not sure if all W211 modules work.
I'll check my 2003 E55 tonight to make sure. I'm thinking only 2006+ newer W211 work.
Why?
Recently another member was parting out with their E55 and the modules he was offering had very different connections. The pictures were not on a good angle, so I decided to pass.

Mine didn't cost that much...
I don't know where my mechanic got mine, but I had the same issue with my car and finally diagnosed the problem via the great information on the boards here.
He managed to replace it parts and labor for about $130 total for one seat module.
Can't believe that one so called "Mercedes Specialist" told me that I needed to replace my whole command system. Then I told him what I had read on the forums about the seat module and it worked. I told him to just leave it disconnected and I brought it to another mechanic.
Regardless, maybe there are other aftermarket manufacturers who make compatible parts?

I have yet to read of an aftermarket replacement...

yes, the one i bought was from a c350. It worked for a couple of months and then had the same problem. the new replacement part is the same from a w211. The w211 seat module doesn't seem to have the same problem.

Good to know! I'll be on the lookout for a W211 seat module...I've had a permanent "gangsta lean" since November lol... Since the seat isn't in an awkward, uncomfortable position, I haven't fixed it yet...

Any news on the W211 part number?
Any news on the seat module schematic and/or fix?
(I would think that there would be some way to disable that 30-min delayed power-off 'feature' and just have power to the seats when the key is in the ignition.)

The part numbers were different since there for a regular c-class model. But doesn't mean there different parts. Mercedes might of just given them different part numbers because there for different model cars even though its the same part, so they can charge more for the upper models.
I have no guarantee other then what the seller said and my paypal fraud protection since i bought them on ebay.
For a chance to have working modules for $50 each instead of the $200 a piece i figured it would be worth the risk.
There is a theory in the c-class forum that the reason it drains the battery is because the circuit in the module that tells the ecu to turn power off the seat after 30min becomes defective and never tells the ecu to turn off the power.
If its electronic like that..there's no real way to fix the problem...hence the dealer recommendation is a replacement rather then rebuild.
If someone would put up a schematic of the seat harness...i probably could've fixed the problem for $20.
I didn't feel like getting a volt meter and testing every single wire...so i went with this option.

i kind put it on the back burner since i would just move the seat to the desire position and unplug it. I have a feeling though the + is the brown wire that connects to the front harness of the seat control module. I dont have a volt meter to confirm. Given there's only two wires, you have a 50 50 chance.
one you find the correct wire, you can hook it up to a relay and use the cig lighter as the trigger. This way the seat control module would only have power when the car is in the second acc position.

Something Slow
i have been having some Battery Drain Problems i think my seat Module is going bad i dont mind replacing them with the Newer Modules i have 2001 C320 With 2005 C55 AMG Seats and the Part Number for the C55 Module is 2038705026.. when i type this number in it shows as a part for Control module, e320,e320cdi,e350,e500,e55,cls500, cls55 amg, r350, r500 2006.. so am guessing this is the NEWER Modules that dont Drain the Battery...
