The R170 chassis is way narrower than the W203 so our options aren't as great for an engine bay mounted one. Besides these have proven to be good alternatives to the traditional mounting methods. Everyone I have talked to with an STS setup is very happy with their performance.
I pulled up next to an 05 Mustang GT a while back and asked the guy about it. He said was putting down 415hp to the wheels with only 5 lbs of boost. He did spend some more money on a custom tune though. Thing sounded sweet!
Our resonator is a pretty large piece which when removed opens up a good area. The pic I uploaded is where the resonator used to live.
