Pretty good day. It wasnt windy this time. Temp was about 60. I ran 35psi up front and 28psi in rear on Continental Conti Sport. I ran a consistent 12.96/97 for a minute. I tried leaving the car running between runs after run 3. I think this helped my run 4, 5 and 6 times plus my 60ft time came down as well. Smoked all kinds of Evo's, Hondas. People still dont have a clue what an AMG is. Got smoked by a Camaro (he ran 11.19). What else can I do to get in the lower to Mid 12's? Drag radials maybe? I dont know, maybe when I get my new plugs and wires I will be straight.
Great runs!!!
You need to try drag radials now....I say its a much better investment then headers at this moment and main reason why is cause if LET headers are giving maybe 15RWHP then you won't change it much but with sticky drag radials....only rear needed you will get to better your times for sure after a few drag runs...invest wisely my friend.....more power means suspension work in my opinion...

I was about to say the same thing concerning his mods and his mph. I would have expected the mph to be higher. Perhaps the car needs more time to adjust to the SW hmmmmm! I'd ask!

I would just be happy running my car at elevation! The track here in Utah is at 4225 feet. Try a blistering 14.67 at 98mph! This was at the midnight drags and only got in one run.

Went to the track/ drag again on Sunday 2 Mar. I did OK but couldnt break into the twelves like I did before. The only difference between this time and last time was that I was lowered by 1 IN all the the way around and had new plugs. I dont know, I guess the drag gods werent with me today. My fastest time was 13.02. I did get KILLED by a very fast Titan truck with NOS. He ran a 12.86, I was surprised.

I wouldn't worry since you have done it already there are so many variables that could of slowed you down.

Maybe once I get some headers and install my HE and Johnson pump I will be more consistantly in the 12's.
