Hi,

I sent you an e-mail the other day with reference to supplying a pulley for a UK owner.

I didn't get a reply and had a few questions for you.

Could you get in touch?

Thanks.

178mm, 181mm, 185mm. Are those the diameter of the pullies? I have very little knowledge about pullies, is the bigger the pulley the more HP it makes? Does it mean that the bigger the pulley makes the engine crank harder?

The bigger pulley creates more boost by spinning the SC faster. The bigger pulley also creates more HP.

I can attest to the great customer service with this guys. Always someone there to answer a phone and extremely professional and helpful. If I needed a pulley I'd be sure to buy in on this deal.

Good Luck!

The 185mm (7 1/4") pulley is the largest size pulley in the market.

According to LET, the pulley is fluid dampened (A dampening technology used in aircraft applications). Unlike the original MB pulley which is dampened by a Polyurethane Dampener which requires replacements from time to time. this pulley is more durable.

I almost ordered ASP a while ago but I switched to LET.

Further, it gives the most power which most of you might be looking for.

Will the bigger pulley cause the SC to wear down sooner? I am guessing that since it makes the SC work harder I really wanna chime in on this too, which one is the best to go for??

If I still recall it correctly, the supercharger will run at 18,700 rpm (90% max) with the 185mm pulley, max for the stock supercharger is 20,700 rpm.

Really depends on how much power you want to go for! Most tuners are offering 7" or even smaller pulley that should drive the SC a bit slower.

I ordered the 185mm. With headers, HE, resonator delete and a sprint booster on now. Car is running good. I also planned to have cams as well.

I used to stay in ON Canada too when I attended univesity there. Hows life now???

I would like to clarify a few things with the new design of the pulley. This new pulley has a mechanical dampener. It uses a friction plate / clutch material to dampen. It contains about 28 internal pieces, including 8 springs.

The new design is a true work of art.

Some of the older pulleys are fluid dampened.

Personally, I prefer this new design. The mechanical dampener works throughout the entire RPM band.

All of the pulleys will make your rear tires work harder.

The S/C has a theoretical maximum RPM of 20,700. In order for the SC to spin within 2000 RPMs of the max, you would have to be doing over 120mph in 4th gear (higher load). The SC will not hit max RPM in 1st gear at redline.....it does come close though.

I would go with the 181mm, you will have to do other mods with the 185mm.

Ok a couple of dumb questions so be easy please..

1) The 181 size pulley and accessories.. is this all that is needed to complete this job. You don't have to alter the computer etc etc and how does this change in hp effect the vehicle's computer.. No codes come up etc etc....Bascially what I am asking is, this all thats needed for this mode (no surprises) and any adverse effects EXCEPT for more speeddddddddddddd hahah..

2) The HE are on sale and for how long.. how much are they regular price?

3) Is there a combo price if purchasing both..

1. It is not required to get an ecu tune, but you will see the most power if you do. There will not be any codes thrown or check engine light. Everything you need to install it will be included in the box! The only negative effect might be a speeding ticket every now and then.

2. & 3. The HE's are not on sale, but will give a discount if purchased in conjunction with the pulley special above.

The ASP Pulley is 178mm, we are offering 181 or 185mm, which will create more boost and more horsepower.
