Lightbulb Performance question regarding the C32

I recently purchased a C32 with 55k miles and extended factory warranty. This is my first Mercedes, and it has been amazing so far. However, after flooring a couple of times, I was losing power. Read the forums and had a chat with the dealer, and the dealer replaced the ic pump and everything is fast again.

I was reading on the forums about people doing 0-60 in the 4.7 time frame just by green filters. So my question is that if it is possible to get that performance just by changing the filters on a complete stock C32 with good tires (like the goodyear f1)?

Also, will changing the filters void my warranty? Any thoughts regarding this will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Changing filters shouldn't void the warranty. What you may want to consider is the true results of changing out the filters. Figure on spending around $75 to $100 for a product that has dubious data to back up any performance gains.

The best argument I found for the filters is the track times posted in this forum by c32used. His numbers are subjective though because of differing times of day, heat soak, etc. Search for the thread and read it for yourself and decide. As for me, I am sticking with stock for now. I have not found sound evidence to support spending that money on something that might do more damage than good.

www.partstrain.com has K & N filters for $33.86 ea and Green filters for $40.26 ea. This is about the cheapest i've found. .

2002-2004 Mercedes Benz C32 AMG K33332256 $33.86
2002-2004 Mercedes Benz C32 AMG G512296 $40.26
The choice is yours. Also try www.letmotorsports.com they have free shipping and good guys
Thats what I have on my car (K & N). They work great. Do a search for, (filters) and you can read all about them.

No, the filters will not void your warranty.

Start with the filters (K&N or Green) and work your way up to the pulley, tune, and headers.

It's easy to get a 4 sec 0-60 C32.
