Black series Badge... Part number?

OK so I have had this idea to make a C32 black edition using several CLK/SLK parts to give the car the Stock, yet not stock look. My ideas were a small carbon fiber trunk lip spoiler, front carbon fiber lip, Black roof, Black exhaust area, and various other little parts here and there (maybe even the little gills for the front bumper). I wanted to pick up a black series badge for when everything comes together and figured I could start by just buying the badge and getting "committed" to the project. Does anyone have a part number or know where I could get one? I have checked around online and no luck and am relentless to call the dealership because I fear they will be clueless or some "poser" non AMG car trying to just slap on badges. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note... here is one 6 minute bout with paint just as an idea.

Thanks,
-Mike

I just got one the other day. It's not a full badge...it's a little black boomerang that says "Black Series" on it.My car is in the shop now,if no one posts the part number-I'll post it when I get my car back-hopefully early next week.

I don't think you can get a legitimate "AMG Black Series" badge for the very reason you are afraid to go ask the dealership. AMG or not, it's still posing.

Well I am glad that C43 posted before you, lol. So yes its posing, yet at least its an attempt to build a car that was never built... To me it makes sense... Its not like getting a c230 and putting on an AMG badge... more like getting a C55, adding a supercharger, then putting Kompressor on the side.

Don't do it. Just like slapping AMG brakes onto a C350 doesn't warrant an AMG badge, putting some cf parts onto an AMG doesn't warrant a black badge. Anyone that even knows what a black is will immediately know that it's a fake. If I saw it I'd point and laugh.

If you really want it... here:

http://cgi.ebay.de/AMG-Black-Series-...QQcmdZViewItem

Do I recommend it? No...

Just like some people laugh and make fun of AMG posers, you will fall in the same category. These are limited edition cars apart from our "regular" AMGs.

My car has almost everything that you described but I would never put a BS bagde because it has some toys on it...

I encourage you do all the mentioned mods simply because it would like badass in a white C32 and give you props for pursuing originality, but the BS badge isn't too good of an idea.

Ugh.
It's not like "Black Edition" means that it has more black trim pieces.

Like others say, badging an AMG as "Black" is the same as badging an MB as AMG.

To AMG lovers, you'll look silly, and to non-AMG lovers, it will not have any meaning. And if someone asks, "what does the Black Edition mean" what are you going to say?

Ordinarily, I say that you should do whatever makes you happy and not worry what other people think; but in a situation like this, the very thing you are doing is to influence what people think, so I feel it's important to weigh in.

I appreciate everyones input and am going to get the badge and just look at it, lol. Thanks again guys, cat wait to post up the thread of the finished car... W/O the badge

I'm soooooooooooo glad you changed your mind ...
Had you not, the following curse would have befallen you...

...before the next full moon,
a ricer would have torn it from your rear end
& applied it to his black 1989 civic ex w/ black steel wheels (black series indeed)

... before the start of the following new moon, your testes (this is a big assumption)
would have simply fallen from your body,
one down each pant leg.

so it was written, so it would have been done

Sorry Corossive but the Black Series only come in certain cars and though your idea is cool at the end others who know what the tag BS will see you as a poser...its not like it will bring the value up on our car...

Do it dude, I dare you. Maybe you can get one of those big wings on the trunk like the DTM guys and put a bunch of T-mobile stickers on the hood. Oh yea and throw some bosch stickers on to while your at it. Post pics of the finished product so we can all look at it and laugh.
Relax, I have PTSD.

Corrosive
I say do it! It;s up to you to decide how you want to decorate your car
You may choose to go ***** out get the front bumper, brakes, shifter, and cf interior. That's a lot of trouble to go through

There was never a black series c class, so IMHO youre not a poser. All you are is a MB fan who tring to be different. If you do the black series transformation within some degree of taste and refinement, you may just get a nod of approval from the naysayers.

Hats off to you for attempting this

I thought of a similar idea, but I was thinking of using a c55 and upgrading the parts on the car from a clk63 black series. Apparently the costs would be astronomical, but a c55 black series would be awesome. I wish some one could do a photoshop of a c55 with the clk63 black series parts.

Here's the thread if you want to get a kick out of what every one said https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...t=series+black

Don't do it. Do everything you want to it and make it look hot but please keep the badge off. If I see the car with all the mods I will like it, but as soon as I see the badge I will be turned off.

Imagine seeing a C32 badge on a C230 or worse yet a C55 badge on a C32? Wouldn't you pity the fool? I would.

Not only would i point and laugh, but id explain it to my girlfriend, so she could point and laugh. The same way I laugh at AMG badges on non AMG cars, Id flame you. Hell, I'd probably leave a note on your car calling you a poser. On a lighter note, I saw an Aston Martin that was covered with Hyundai emblems, even on the steering wheel. That sh!+ was hilarious. This will be too though, but in a different way. I like everything else that you want to do, originality all the way, but dont fu#k with the badge. Its not right

Their is a dude around here with a white C230 4matic all badged out like a C32. I mean he even has the C32 Kompressor on the sides. Its so funny to see the car with the 4matic stock wheels on
