Question About H&R Springs

Well, I've been looking in to H&R springs and I've been a little confused as to why the drops vary so much between the c32 and the rest of the c class models. Even the c55 gets more of a drop then what the c32 does. Does anyone know the reason behind this?

I was offered a good deal on c320 springs. I just want to make sure that they will work or if I could make them work.

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about, with the different drops that the c-class gets. The c55, c240, and c320 get the same drop. While the c32 only receives a 1" drop all around.

Here's the H&R website.

The C32 already sets lower then the other C cars, so as such, it has less drop with the HR springs. Ie Shorter stock spring in the C32 then the rest.

See yeah

That makes sense. The funny thing is that, every time I see another C class, my gap seems higher than theirs, lol. Maybe it's just my perception. I thought the c55 had a more agressive drop than the c32?

So would H&R springs for a c320 work on my c32? H&R model #29392

Well, I just bought some h&r springs that are for the c320. I did some research and found out that the c32 is about 90 pounds heavier than the c320. I don't know if this weight will affect the way the springs sit.

Has anyone put c320 springs on a c32?

Probably the best thing to do is call or e-mail them. Let us know.

90pds shouldn't be that big of a deal. if it's 90pds specifically heavier up front or back in the rear, then i don't know. but don't quote me, i'm just trying to use some logic.. and i don't really have much. lol.

90 lbs won't do a thing. If it is ALL up front, blower/HE, etc, it may have the nose a 1/10"or two lower. Again NO big deal. Keep us posted my friend

See yeah

the weight difference IS all up front with the supercharger. it doesn't matter that much. the spring rate up front might be softer that's all if you use the 240/320 setup.

the drop on the C55 with the springs is probably a typo.

When you say softer, does that mean that the drop up front will be lower or that the springs will travel further up and down when it hits a bump? It's probably both, I just hope that it will not affect the ride quality and it may actuall improve it.

What did you find out on this? I too just came across a sweet deal on H&R Sport springs off a C320 and was considering putting it on the C32. Do you have yours installed? Feedback? Recommend or no? Maybe the sweet deal I found was you dumping your springs....? lol

late response for you. don't know if you did it or not.

to answer the question and for help to other that maybe considering about doing this is that softer springs will make the heavier car lower than they do on the lighter car. spring travel is still controlled by the shocks and on how stiff the shocks are. unless you have a broken shock i wouldn't worry about too much.

Do you have these installed yet? How did it work? I'm in the same boat.
