sometimes it leaves one tire mark and sometime you'll get lucky and get two. totally depends on the condition.

Its called an electronic "fake" Diff. It does a great job of foolin us that we have a LSD...put it on dyno mode and watch the fake LSD not spin two wheels anymore...

I was told the C55 has a 15% max LSD. If true, I hardly consider that a true LSD. If you can get two stripes consistantly you probably aren't stock.
Maybe try going into Dyno mode (see stricky at the top of the forum) & do a brake torque burn out ... if both tires spin for awhile you're probably not stock.

Donn, it feels great the car pulls forward in a straight line instead of side to side like b/f. I was getting my things together to go to the track tomorrow but have not been able to get my drags back. I really wanted to try it again with the LSD.

HELP !!!! Need info on Quaife install
[Have 2003 C32 and ordered a Quaife assuming all would go well. Found out it had the older, 2002, style diff. with the clip-in half-shafts. After extensive research I found:
Some are installed without using a clip.
Some used a different clip from GM if I recall correctly.
I also understood you could "upgrade" the diff. with the correct half-shafts.
Installing without clips may lead to fluid leakage. I will not install with without clips.
Questions:
Can I use a different clip, GM perhaps, and who makes it and what is the part number?
I would prefer to upgrade to the newer half-shafts. What MB parts would I need to do this?
Are there any other solutions for this problem?
Since AMG parts are hard to find is the diff. assembly the same as a C320?
Car is currently sitting on a lift and I would like to resolve this issue ASAP. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Why, the 09 C63 is getting the diff with the Performance Package???
Also, any updates on this? I need to know about install too? Anyone in Chicago do the Qaife Installs on the 04 C32??

As far as the update goes, the car is reborn. I should have put in the LSD 2 years ago. My C32 is from 2002, so the Quaife had to be installed without the ring. Fortunately, the diff is not leaking.
