Suggestion
If you buy a new head unit and it comes with a USB socket and you don't have or use an Ipod...I say ditch the Ipod cable cause you can get a thumb drive to dowload all your music on and pictures too. Also with thumb drives being as cheap as $80 for a 16 gig or $40 for an 8 gig why would you need an Ipod at all? I use a 2 gig that I got for $18 from tigerdirect.com and it holds all my music and then some...you can create folders of your favorite artists and wala! organized

C32used, sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread, but you seem to have an experience with Kenwood. I'm wondering what you think about KSC-SW10 powered subwoofer. I'd like to add a sub but don't want to change my HU. Thx.

The SW-10 is a ok sub if your looking to replace what the stock offered you. It will not be loud pounding bass, and for the cost I would personally rather go another direction.

Thanks but I honestly have liitle experience with Kenwood...I used this Kenwood headunit cause its price was better then the Avic Z2 which I wanted directly but it was a close option imo and honestly very satisfied due to USB port which I think the Z2 didn't offer. I chose Kenwood AMPS well when I was younger I was into the big and more quality sound and I used then Kenwood AMPS which made Kenwood go on the list even if its not quite the big sound compared to current competition. Also the price was within better range. As for Sub well I at that time used JBLs 1000 watters 12" by 2 and 10" by four...but kindoff seen this single 10" Pioneer Premier SPL and decides to try it out...personally my Kenwood Mono AMP can barely tickle it imo...
The member Jake(loungn14) worked in this so his knowledge is way beyond mine.

I am also considering to replace door speaker eventually with either Focal, MBquarts or Diamond audio D or HEX series. The stock BOSE door speakers are OK but don't quite sound that good so would like to replace it maybe in the Summer.

IMO since you are using your HU then get a JL CLEANSWEEP and a good AMP to drive a good SUB.

I just need a bass, since it's non existence with Bose.
SW-10 is only $150. I'm curious, what other direction that I could go with the same cost?

Well I paid like $124 shipped thru Ebay for my 10" sub....the issue I think you will have is the Bose AMP might not be able to puch practically any aftermarket Sub out there..thats why you will need Clean Sweep. If you buy from high rank Ebay sellers I wouldn't worry and also try Amazon and other online sellers.

If you mean the phone buttons on steering wheel well it can't be used for picking up or hanging up so it was repogrammed as track up and down. A little weird but you get used to it fast. My HU has an automatic pickup option which I have set on auto answer after 2 rings. Its so worth it if you manage expenditures and one needs to upgrade first and sell parts afterwards.

Cleansweep is a nice product, but with the setup you have I would personally spend my money elsewhere.
If you have any questions feel free to shoot them my way

I have two options to replace my door speakers....Focal V2S or Diamond Audio D66 Coaxial(Rear) and Components or even HEX components for fronts. At the moment alot of shops are recommending the Diamonds and the prices are better...so any advice from you guys?

I tried installing the rear door speakers but its obvious the Diamond Audio D661i are deeper in depth compared to the stock BOSE so I think a spacer or bracket or adaptor or all is needed and once I find out I will post results...the door panel was easy to remove based off instructions I got thru this pdf which I got here from this forum..only difference is instead of the screw thats suppose to be under the arm rests you need to remove the arm rest handle instead on our cars and I presume the C230 sedan...the handle has a deep screw so we used a T20/30 allen wrench instead.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
i hope it works out. its hard to explain in writing. But i think you'll understand what i'm saying, once you have the spacer and speaker in your hands. I didn't think they could come apart until i started messing with it.

Well finally got the Diamond Audio speakers on and I have to say WOW! What a difference....the fronts didn't need a spacer the stock one was reused as for the rears well they installed spacers so the window would clear passed it when lowered all the way...Recommended 1,000,000%

Well its been some time since installed and this is my review....I love it!
The Diamond Audio speakers are very nice but I notice they are better when doing audio for DVD movies then just regular music........they play reg. music great but much more noticable details for the DVDs. A MAJOR ISSUE I AM HAVING IS WITH THE PAC AUDIO DEVICES...the SWI-CAN+SWI-JACK! I had to replace the swi-jack twice already and maybe once again I also replaced the swi-can once.........I definitely recommend the Car.pi instead since others who have used these are still fine after one install. Now Jake(loungn14) has been troublefree with the pac audio devices But I am not giving up and buying a Car.pi yet....let me try the pac stuff again. As for music I have a pen(flash) drive with 6gig of music...and several DivX movies.
I would do it again!
