Just an update on the Pac Audio devices...I disconnected them over a month now and even though I miss them extremely due to the steering wheel control uses I can live easier without the "SRS" warning light that seems to come on only ever since the Pac devices where used so gonna look for a new steering wheel controller.

This looks really good I normally don't like the looks of the aftermarket systems either. I really miss my Garmin Navi that thing works great.

Just installed the Kenwood CAW-MB1070.. purchased over Ebay and shipped from Portugal in a weeks time.
It works gr8! No programming req. Installation was a bit more involved requiring removal of the bottom steering wheel panel to get to the ignition switch. Will post a DIY soon.

Wow very pricey...can you tell me what controls it supports on our Kenwood head units? The Pac Devices I used had alot and I'm also considering the ca.r.pi 133 but don't know all it supports.

hey c32used.
i am in the process of doing my install for an hu. however the only thing i cant find is a 12v acc to turn on and off the hu. lol. i think our cars wiring is technically the same. i have a clk 320 so im assuming the wires are the same.
but its an acc wire that i need. where did you tap yours from? if possible, do you kno the wire specifically.
Thanks
Brian

you have to tap into the cig lighter switched 12v should be 3 wires going to it. the brown's the negative. I believe the smallest one is for the light ring for it. you want to go with that last one that's there for the switched 12v

Just an update:
So far everything seems fine about "SRS" warning light though I miss the steering wheel radio controls :-( anyways still sound great several years later..radio/NAV are fabulous only down is so many sub menus but the USB outlets lets me easily use music in my dedicated flash drive(8gig) I haven't bothered with upgrading cause this is more then enough for me..I've slowed down on upgrading anything on car so will most likely keep things "as is" for now
Honestly haven't bothered looking for better options cause this is best thus far for me. It's wide, fabulous sounds....speakers are awesome but better at DVD audio IMO..the single 10" sub is fabulous. Really have no complaints

all wiring meets at factory amp in trunk from head unit it's fiber but after trunk amp it regular wires you can also get to speaker wires in I believe passenger front door. my setup involved replacing head-unit adding RCA's to feed amps in trunk then sending signal to speaker from those amps...if I recall correctly there is a method to keep stock head unit and replace factory amp but if your gonna mess with amp might as well change head unit and speakers and add a good woofer for deeper base imo.
