Exclamation

Wheels are going to start production phase. There was a hold up with LATE cores coming in.

Please send in your cores as soon as you've replaced them with the new one guys. Second group should have been complete by now if everyone would have shipped their cores in promptly.

Give you a finish date as soon as I get that from Ivan. I'm guessing near the end of June.

Sorry, came late to the movie....

I want one. Is the asking price still $450.00 with core? Also, I need it shipped to an APO address in Germany. Can we do this?

I would still be down for one. I would actually like to pull my wheel send it and get the same core back. I'm not too concerned about the down time associated with it. It I have to drive it......thats what they make vise grips for!

Update on the next group:

I have one complete wheel, Charcoal w alcantara.
5 wheels in production. Delivery should be in 2 weeks.

The manufacturer is asking me to request $600 up front and when you return the core you will get the $100 credited back, shipping included. (because of late returns in group 1)

I don't think I have any other slots open in the group buy.
If someone drops out I will contact you all.

i kinda want one now, but no way i'm sending them my Brabus steering wheel as core...LOL

did you measure the diameter yet?

my Brabus's horizontal diameter is about 15" and vertical is about $14.5". I know my AMG horinzontal diameter was smaller btw. wondering how is this steering wheel in comparison.

Guys - Make sure you look over the units really well....mine had a chunk of material missing from the core. I guess I got someone elses bad core.

Other than that, they look good.

Sorry, car is dirty.

Sounded worse in the post when you said a "chunk" was missing, I was thinking it was really bad. But I can see the edge near the airbag has some damage.

I'll forward this to Ivan.

I promise it is a measureable "chunk" of wheel that is missing. The picture doesn't do it justice.

I must admit that I didn't notice it right away and it shouldn't change anyones mind on ordering this. This is one of the best mods I have done and I'm in no way upset. I just wanted to share with you so you could share with Ivan and hopefully get these bugs worked out.

No prob.

I'll have Ivan mention this to the manufacturer. Hopefully this will help in quality control and they can be extra careful when working on these.

Next set is ready!!!

Please look out for an email/PM today with details for payment.
Remember, he is now collecting a core exchange deposit which will be refunded once you send back your old wheel. ($100)

I might have one or two extra wheels so I will contact the next people on my list who are next in line.

Smile

For the record the horizontal outer width of the wheel is 15".
The vertical outer height is a bit shy of 14.5"

The grips are thick on the sides and look ergonomically designed for a natural grip. (perfect for autocross events)

Top grip is soft on the back. Harder on the Alcantara or insert side. a little thinner than stock because of the inset insert.

The feel is awesome. I'm sure any owners from Group 1 will vouch for that. Seriously makes you feel like you're in a CLK Black Series!

Any other's who have one feel free to post your feedback.

saw it in person on kcheng's car. I can vouch for this steering wheel.

only thing is my hand is pretty big (can palm basketball easy) so the contour didn't exactly fit me when i grabbed 9-3 position. 10-2 position was perfect however. It fits kcheng's hand perfectly tho.
