1. A lot of Mercedes (SD and La Jolla area). In fact, lots of german cars in general.
2. Cars are generally in great condition. Older Mercs look great.
3. Exotics (Ferraris, Bentleys, R8) everywhere but almost all of them had NO TAGS, just dealer logo plates. What's the deal with that? Are these demo cars? Does Calif use temporary plates?
4. Roads are nicely paved and banked.
5. I drove a Ford Explorer all week. What a POS. Soft springs with firm antiroll bars made it handle strangely. Weak brakes and trash interior.

+1 on the Explorer. Probably one of the worst SUVs on the market. They have worst and roughest seats I have ever sat on.Originally Posted by Fifth Ring

Welcome to the left coast, counselor.
There’re several nice cars about, eh? Seldom is rust a factor in their demise.

You should come visit South Florida! On the way home today I was behind a Lambo.

Welcome to CA. Lots of money breeds nice cars; new, old, classics. My grandpa used to come out here and be amazed at all the nice rides floating around our freeways.
