In california, yeah.. 1-1.5hr one way and 1-1.5hr back. Playing movies is the only thing that keeps me from getting road rage. I'm thinking of getting a usb hdtv tuner as well since the prices on those have come down quite a bit

 

not really meant for someone that build there own setups. More for people who want something straight out of the box without any major modding to the car.

Its basically in line with similar systems offered by pioneer and clarion but those used stripped down versions of windows xp, this version offers more versatility.

no offense taken...i built my whole setup for $600, mainly because of the screen. Being a past computer nerd, now a automotive nerd. I like to combine my two hobbies.

Wanted to give people a premade option.

I just need someone to help me clean up my trunk setup.

 

Bro if you find a workable HDtv tuner let me know...Kenwood is suppose to roll one out but that won't be for years. I have a Kenwood tv tuner now but that will be out of here Feb 1 2009.

Luckily, I have a crap load of Itunes video content to choose from...

 

I know there a bunch of usb hdtv tuners out in the market. I gotta do little more research which one to buy. i'll probably do this after i'm done with my engine mods though.

USB ATSC digital tuners do not work while in a moving vehicle. It has to do with the way the signal is picked up by the antenna. A few mentioned companies like Kenwood are developing automotive ATSC digital tuners that can pick up the signal.

Speaking of Carputers i have one in my car that i will be replace-in i had it in my car for 2 months, i will be going with something custom soon so i was thinking of selling the unit it come's with a reverse camera as well i spent around 1,800 on the unit shipped..

i guess i can let it go for 1,200 shipped if any one interested pm me.
