C55 drive like crap today.

I kinda have been driving like a old man these days and today i was messing around and it seemed as if the car had zero *****! Car wasn't kicking down and when it did it was not really putting me back in my seat. I felt it anyone wanted to take a run at me in the 55 they would have blown the doors off of me. dont want to make this another sprintbooter thread but would the S.B stop the car from going in to "wimp mode" or should i just try a trans reset?

i was trying to drive like i own an AMG. if the car could talk it would have said when i hammered the peddle "lets just take are time." reset the trans and all is good in the hood. it just sucks that you have to do that

even with SB it gradually does the same thing. All the SB does is make WOT sensing at 1/2 throttle input making for a shorter pedal- That's it-

Even with this being so...you can do a reset maybe once every month instead of every week...I don't even reset mine but once since I bought it cause the feeling is great all the time but then again I am modded now.

The famous ECU reset.

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.

2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.

3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

doesnt matter if you drive in "c" or not. you drive home from work one day and all is normal. you drive back in the morning, and it wants to pick every gear at 3500, no matter how far your foot is in it. its very fn annoying. im doing a reset constantly. i really wish there was a way to disable that..

Get a ECU flash by kleemann or renntech. That should do the trick.

+1 ECU tunes really help in throttle response and overall liveliness of the car but even then you'll fall victim to the continually adapting AMG transmission once in a while especially after a long wait in traffic

Clogged catalytic converter? Broken resonator? Wife put '87 octane in your car?
