C32/C55 Front Brake Rotors

Sorry, As I'm not really that familiar with the C32 nor the C55 but I have a few questions regarding aftermarket availability for the Brake Rotors.

Are any available out there and if so - What brands are those who have upgraded have?

I'm due for a brake job and rather than purchasing OEM rotors - wanted to see what my options are and if there are any weight differences.

I own a 1995 W124 E420 with C32 Fronts therefore the reason I am here posting.

Thanks!

Someone here or on Mercedes Forum posted a writeup about using the CL63(?) brakes on their C55. That might be an option as well. IIRC, the parts were about 4k total for all four corners.

BTW, nice looking "e".

You ment the CLK63. But I am sure he doesn't want to spend that much and they barely fit a 18" rim OEM so I doubt he wants to upgrade his rims also..

There are only fitment issues on the amg c with 18's bc he was running coilovers. I had the same problem with bbs re's and pss9's on my 996 resulting in me changing rims at the tire store's cost-

What are the rotors you guys are talking about?? EBC makes a set that are cheap and have directional vanes and are drilled and slotted for front only-

I'm fairly confident that the CLK63/SLK55 front brake rotors are a direct replacement, but they are $450-$600 each. They are 2-piece floating rotors.

are you sure? Although the CLK63 (not Black) and SLK55 030 have 6-piston calipers, I understood them to have 13.6" (sometimes 13.4") floating rotors.

Correction!

SLK55 030 and CLK55 (05+) have the 13.6" floating rotors that SHOULD fit the C55.

You are correct spr that the CLK63 did get slightly larger 14.2" (360mm) floating rotors.

Either way I believe they are like $600/piece.

The clk63 has 360mm fronts and 330mm rears. OP is trying to stay away from oem. Btw try brakeworld.com
