I was just wondering what are the brake pad sensors for? is it for stability control? it cant be for ABS because my 300zx doesn't have break pad sensors.

I would presume its for sensing pad wear and gives you and warn you when they are pretty close to needing change...

my 91 300E has brake wear sensors so it definitely isn't new tech

they tell you when your brake pads are worn out.
