Oh, Thanks for information. I ended up not covering it though , since i thought if I'm going to drive it down to the insurance company for the examination, I'm not going to have a black plastic blocking the rear view mirror.

I hate thieves and vandals.... soooo much.... I dont own a C32 or C55 (though I'm in the market for one, C55 specifically), but about 4-5 years ago I had my w201 broken into and my head unit stolen ($1,200 Clarion indash tv/dvd). In the process of them stealing it, they slashes soooo many wires they they didnt need to slash and broke every peice of wood trim i had in the front... That wood is expensive! I had next to perfect interior for the how old the car is and they just had to mess everything up. This is my '91 190E 3.2

And this is when it got broken into and vandalized:
I was distrot... because the only time I turned off my in-cabin video surviellance system was that weekend... I could have caught the person redhanded on tape if I had just left it on :-(
EDIT: He pried the gloxbox open (cause the brain was locked in there) and her pried the the system out from the center dash along with the rest of the components on the center dash.

Thank you starcar! After that happened to me, I was sooooo devoted on catching any theif and vandal. Since then I have assisted in the arrest of two thieves 
That's pretty good for a civilian i think lol.

So I just came back from insurance company.. quoted 1130.82 for the fix.
O well, I only need to pay 300 bucks, ICBC is gonna cover the rest.

People don't understand that these aren't just fancy cars to us... Not to sound like a freak or anything, but we have emotional relationships with these fine machines. It's too bad heartless people can't have the same kind of relationship with even a person or even their own family. It just shows who really has a heart here... Behind the wheel of every well maintained Mercedes is a person who cares for the well being and safety of their passengers.
