Was parking at a public lots when this happened.. luckily they only took a pair of Oakleys, and the V1 is still there.

Should I try to remove the glass on the seat before I take my car to the insurance company, or should I just keep them there and let the body shop take care of it? I don't really want to scratch my seats..

That's a friggin' disgrace man - I feel for you.
I would definitely leave everything as is so that the insurance company can see it and have it documented. Obviously you are taking plenty of images to document the location of the glass on the leather.

That sucks. At least your v1 was left. Probably too dumb/scared to take it. G luck getting back on the road asap.

Did you leave something on show? What did the scum take?

What is wrong with people? I am noticing quite a few cars that are getting hit-up like this on the forum. Sorry for the loss, insurance will take care of it.

Sucks!

When one of my cars window was busted to get a $9 phone by my neighbor, I left the glass and drove it over to get it fixed. The shop said they would take care of the cleaning.

F***! where were you parked? so sorry to hear this man... looking at the pics, it looks like some one is trying to steal things from your glove box cause only the passenger side is broken. Glad that the V1 is still there. Hope you get it fixed soon.
P.S. Just for prevention, once its fixed you should get the windows tinted. the tint films will hold up glass bits in these kind of situation. I cross my fingers for you this don't happen ever again

Sadly, this is the reality of people these days. The standards of being a good "human" along with others is a thing of the past. Its peoples focus on themselves, what can be done for THEM, what THEY don't have, who got in THEIR way, and so on. People are ugly man. You had something nice, and someone else didn't. Look around, better yet watch what people are accepting as programing on television. That should give you a good idea. I see things like this all day, everday. Hate to rant but I practice being self aware and respecting to others for some reason....and I hate when I feel like I'm the only one. These dinks are out laughing about this somewhere for sure.

..brought back memories of my busted mirror vandel from this winter

That's sick. It's so wrong to mess with people's cars.

The good news is that it shouldn't be that much to fix, and I wouldn't turn it into insurance. The B-pillar is just a trim piece that is pretty easy to replace (I did it on my wife's car). It's just the window and trim piece that need to be replaced, correct? I didn't notice the doors or anything else.

You can get the glass out and vacuum it too; Comp Claim here (comprehensive) subject to your deductible of ??? Oakleys gone BUT not he V-1, you're lucky sir!! Damage to B pillar covered by the same claim under comp too; Check the car for other damage that may be related to current incident and get police report.

Yes I called police right away when i saw this. There are several noticable scratches on both front and rear doors.
On a brighter side, I have a HUGE SCRATCH on my rear door that i was having a hard time getting rid of with touch up paints.. now i can get the whole thing repaint for $300 (deductible)
As for the V1, It was sitting on top of the rear view mirror.. I guess that asshole was too stupid to see.

That sucks

My car has a 5" scratch on the rear left door after I parked it in a "safe parking lot" while I was at work, and I have a 650$ deductible which is the lowest you can get here

Sounds like he/she was looking for the Oakleys only. Thats too bad man, nice car, nice guy, cruel world. I see it every day and worse. Ever see a woman scratch her name and pictures into a truck, I mean a complete vandalism job? The hood, all sides and rear!! I have seen and more. Carrie Underwood has nothing on some of these people. Scumbags of the worst type. Probably jealousy. Looks like they tried to pry the door and got the window (see the horizontal lines across the B Pillar) or they tried to pry the window and it broke.

Something similar happened to me a few years ago. Some ***** broke the rear window of my Touareg to steal my computer in the back. I'd love to catch ones these asses sometime. Cops don't care. They are too busy trapping speeders to generate money.
