Visited the Hockenheimring today Pics inside
I was coming back from the in-laws house and dropped by the Hockenheimring to take some pictures for you guys. They were having a track school day so there werent any DTM cars racing only RX-7's and stuff like that. They let you walk right into the stands and sit down and watch. I almost bought a beer and hung out but I was just passing by. Anyway, it was pretty cool. I talked with the guy at the front gate as to how much to run the track. He told me it was 25 euros. They run street cars every Thursday if there isnt anything going on. Oh yea the C32 is still not here. The boat got delayed. So anyways heres the pics.

If you ever visit Germany, you always have a place to stay. Plus I live about an hour from Hockenheim.

I requested to come here. As you know I was here before. This is where I met my wife. I will be here for 4 years. Then I will be re-stationed in the states for a few years. Then retire.....

Great place to go fast, although the weather can be "iffy" on a regular, basis, cold, rainy and dreary.

If you're keen to find out whether you've got what it takes to be a racing driver or you want to try out your car or bike on a racetrack, off the normal roads, the Hockenheimring Grand Prix circuit is ready and waiting.
But safety takes priority: No racing is allowed. Safety zones, gravel beds, crash barriers that go down to the ground and stacks of tires offer maximum protection should anything happen. Cars and motorbikes drive alternately in separate groups.
Prices:
Entry to the Motodrom per person: 3 euros
Charge for 15 minutes drive per vehicle: 12 euros

It is permitted for press and private persons only to photograph and film the tourist driving. Any kind of sale of this graphical material is not allowed and is subject to written approval of the Hockenheim-Ring GmbH. In case of noncompliance follows a suspension and an entitlement to damages. The domestic authority of Hockenheim-Ring GmbH applies.
Gernerally photographing and filming is permitted only from the stands or in the paddock.
Persons without valid accreditation pass or team pass in the infield will be sent off and have to bear the consequences.

Its not that easy!!! You have to pay big $$ to run around the "rings." Been there, done that. Lil trick I learned, Pay for one extra lap and you can keep your card as souvenir. If you use the last lap, the machine will keep the card. You'll have a credit and the also the card to keep.
