Dealer scratches My stearing wheel

I have a littel scratch on my stearing wheel from the dealer removing my seats to repair them. I left the dealer and noticed today when I got in the car. Do you guys know of any way to fix this..
Thanks
Mike

Call your advisor tell him what happened and tell him you are willing to stop by and show him the exact area of damage. I'm going through the same thing with my intercooler right now (they didn't notice a leak) and charged me for some other part that was "leaking", but they don't work today.

Good luck!

I went in and spoke with the service manager. He took my car parked it in the SLR stall and told the shop forman not to move the car period. He's gonna fix the seats, strearing, wheel, and make it right.

The shop service manager got the team leader and the shop forman together and had them go over the car witha fine tooth comb. I he made it very clear that my car was not to be moved an inch without his consent(due to it having a c/f lip and BBs Lm's). He even wrote the mileage onhis PDA to verify.
I was treated Like I bought 2 slr's. WOW I willbe writing a very nice letter to the owner of the dealer. Good service merits attention. He told me not to worry My car will be fixed ASAP.
Seats rattle
Stearing wheel was scratched
And ac climate control does not work. (it will only blow very cold or very hot)

I am very happy with the attention I got

my ac only blows very cold or very hot as well. i assumed this was normal. if I turn the temp warmer on a hot day, it just blows out with less air but it's still icy cold.

Which dealership is it? It's good to know of some reputable dealers nowadays.. Also let people know about dealers that suck..like in Los Angeles - Downtown LA motors..had the worst treatment from them after they scratched my car. They also didn't even fix the problem with the car it had came in for..

Mike, glad to hear you got it fixed. But I've had nightmares with them.

I took my car in about 6 months ago for battery drainage. I knew from the forum it was probably the seat module issue. They fixed it for $600 or so. Before he released it he said they got another CEL light. He said he needed $350 to diagnose for 3 hours. He called me back about 30 mins later and said the head unit (DAV/NAV) was draining the battery. He quoted me about $3,000. I said no thanks. Picked up the car and called an independent guy that has the STAR diagnostic software. He ran it and showed me there was a problem with my front corner light (I knew it wasn't working but thought it was just the bulb). He pulled the light out and saw it the wire was pinched. Put it back, worked fine, cleared the code and I never had another problem! Ussery wanted to get another 3 grand out of me (on top of the $300 that I paid to diagnose).

If it wasn't for the service manager there I'd be one unhappy camper.
They told me my car was ready this friday but the passanger seat wasn't fixed. I was told to come later when the parts come in. I explained that I will wait for the car to be totaly done. I also got a bit of resistance about the scratch on the wheel. I told the service manager that I understand that he has 3 guys saying that my car didn't get scratched at the shop. I told him that I will happily pay for a polygraph for everybody who worked on the car and myself I they think I did it as well. I told them to pick anybody out of the phone booth and we'll go and find out whos lying.

I'm without a loaner since I did'nt buy the car there. And, I'm without a car for 2 weeks now. If the seats are not tip top this time I really don't know what to do

That sounds more like the Bill Ussery I know!

The independent guy I know is a real independent. Meaning he goes to your house and does the job there. he works at a shop M-F but does his own jobs on the weekends. So no warranty accepted - for obvious reasons.

And the only reasons I went to Bill Ussery is cuz this dude was out of town for 2 weeks and my car was running out of juice every 48 hours.

Donn
Pm me his info too

It's sad Bill Ussery was the last good dealer in the Tri County Area
I can honestly say that my next car will not be a MB bc of them

I have owned a SLK 320 (no jokes pls, a car for the wife), C230, and C32 and this will be my last. The bs about no loaner, refusing to work on my car bc of an aftermarket fog light bulb, and failure to perform a basic oil change is enough to go back to rice burning 4 doors , or maybe a 4 door M-3, i dont care if it slower than C63 at least it is less ugly

I hear ya, fellas.

Maybe what we need to do is organize a monkey-wrench get-together! Let me dig up his info.
