Well as the Title of this thread states my Voltage regulator went out. I was driving home and received the dreaded "Battery/Alternator Visit Workshop" message. I was two blocks from the dealership, so I took it in. Luckly it is under warranty. This part is covered 4 year 50,000 miles, I have the extended warranty also, so no issue. Of course they wrote down I have 110,000 miles when I have 11,000 on the car. They finally corrected that and are fixing it right now.

I know some C32's had this problem, but this was the first I had of in a C55.

I had this problem about a month ago. After fixing it, my headlights didn't work and I was w/o my car for about a week. My 05 only has 18k miles.

Thanks folex187. I will check the lights. I got it back last night and did not notice any problems.

My mechanic told me I have this problem now.. CAr didn't start after driving it for awhile and parked for few min.. USing dyno mode, I checked the voltage and it was below 12V(11 something) ..

Could it be the regulator?
