Question Just saw Motorweek on the speed channel

C63 AMG 0-60 in 5.0; 1/4 mile 13.2 at 113 mph. Does that sound right? I thought it was much quicker than that......Must weigh a lot. Yeah, I suppose
I should have posted this elsewhere but I'm just comparing our cars to it.

I do like the trick features on the car and the styling...

I don't believe it. How can a car with 100 more hp be the same as a car it came from with less hp...?

Magazines/TV shows will post what benefits them.

Motorweek is a crap show. They never drive aggressively. Their launches are often very weak. I recall the Gallardo doing a similar 0-60 time.

In fact, just found it. This is what they did with it... Utter garbage show
0-60 5.1sec, 13.3 @ 109.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
they probably didn't launch the car. They probably just did it from a dead stop and just mashed the gas.

The c63 weighs 3649 lbs. How can a car that only weigh 150lbs more then a c32 with a 100 more hp would be slower then 0-60 then a c32?

Even c32's have been known to go to 0-60 4.7-4.9seconds depending on the kind of tires you have.

Just shows you can only take magazine numbers with a gain of salt.

The C63 is 4000lbs with a full tank of gas according to those who have weighed it. So it is 350-400lbs heavier than a C32.

i think that's wrong. the car's listed at 1730 lbs which is 3806lbs. plus gas and plus driver you are easily over 4000lbs.

edit: I meant 1730 kgs. not lbs. sorry.

Yeah that is about what road and track had in their reviews. They probably tested at high elevation or were just spinning the tires like idiots.

Kinda like when they thought they could take down the CLK55 no problem?
