Xenon = Present Bi-Xenon settings at the Dealership
I just had my Bi-Xenons installed this weekend and man they are sharp! But since I had Frosty Halogens prior, I had to go to the dealership today to get the Xenon = Present done. Doing my research, I followed one of the members here's advice to instead of asking for a Service Advisor or "calling ahead" I just went over the Drive-In lane and ask for a Drive-In Tech. Sure enough, they were busy but the guy came out with the Shop Foreman. I spoke to the Shop Foreman explaining to him that I had Bi-Xenons put on but I will need to have them set the Xenon = Present with the Star Diagnostic system. I explained to him that if I did not get this setting done, my headlights won't come on at all. I told him it was a 10 minute job and gave him a printed, with pics of the procedure how to do it in the system. I asked him how much it would cost to get it done and he said "nothing". So I waited for about 10-15 mins. and he came out said, it's done! I was extremely happy that they did it for free!
So, if anyone is going to have this done, just do what I did, if one dealership won't do it, just go to the next one.
I'm not sure if we have a sticky in our Newbie section but I will be willing to send the Xenon = Present documents and include it there.

These $50k+ cars in 2002 should come with them as standard

My dealership sure wouldn't do it for free... They tell me any software changes is a set rate of at least an hour service. The service people there are so unfriendly, and rude. Hate them...

most definetly they are rapist when it comes to that i tried to have one dealership do the bixenon present prosedure to my wife's car they charged me $165 just to tell me they cant do it but since they spent the time to try to do it i have to pay them.
