Now, if you have a photo that does NOT back up these numbers, then please share. Jerry never said he was "hammering " the car!!!
I am just saying that if he is advertising 8-10mpg increase then my C32 better get 32-34mpg after putting the intake on.

Also the big boy's in Detroit will be paying him millions of dollars to design intakes for their cars and SUV's.

Ive dragged my car about 50 times and still dont want to remove the bumper. Your right with #2. But I like the idea of #3.

Most people would be good with #2

Ditto. Jerry can remove his bumper with his eyes closed - but I need 4 eyes to remove mine!

I don't think removing the bumper is necessary.

If you've ever mess with the fog lights, you know it can be reach from the wheel well(s). Also, I can see simply pulling the piping out until you get to the front CAI.

I can't think of a reason why you need to remove the bumper (maybe the first time though).

Original post edited....better now? Keep in mind that I'm sharing information at this point. How to calculate mpg is a topic we could debate for days and I don't want to get into that.

Then there are people like me who want every last bit of power out of the car and won't mind removing the bumper. However, I think Carlos is right and this can be done by jacking up the car and accessing the panels behind the bumper.

I'm a junkie and will do things to my car that most people wouldn't consider....

Advertised, where did he advertise this???

I don't think that's what he's saying at all. He simply stated the HE noticed an improvement. He did NOT specifically attribute it to the intake. Not from what I read anyway. I run the Code III intake (a lil different) and did Notice an increase as well in MPG, not 7-8 MPG, but at least 2-3. I also run the same roads and also use cruise control once traffic clears. I have never gotten less than 25 MPG on the highway on my modded car. As long as I 'stay out of it" and out of the SC engagement, which is quite easy to do, then 25 is easy. I can see how he got almost 28 with his car. Its fast, well-maintained and his trip with the kids is an easy one on the car too. Why bust the stones here??? He's not selling this to GM, MB , DC or anyone else. Simply stating his opinion (and showing a cool photo of how he did).. Oh, and by the way, we are working on a switch to turn off the SC for even better mileage. It would be an electrical disconnect.

What Jerry did not tell you in his defense is that it was in the 50s here in the burbs this morning so the cool air probably helped too. My car is an absolute beast when the temps drop and at 50 degrees, I can easily see the higher mileage (more dense mixture) at low altitudes as well.

LOL...sorry, I didn't post it because it was in the picture.

You are right and I'll try this on the way home, too.

At the track event in November, I pounded the car in the butt all day and my average mpg was 8. I'll see what it is at the next track event after hours and hours of 1/4 passes.

I do feel he is right....I shouldn't have mentioned it until Jake gets it on his car and the results are duplicated on a non LET owned car. I apologize...

Hey , this is a family forum Jerry. Just wondering, why the extra large tail pipe, suede seats and bed in the back ??? Doesn't all that weight slow you down???

I like the ideal of having different intake options..

before it was only the SL55 Y and boxes ..not you can combine and mix and match.

as far as MPG. I can hit 26 on a cool morning say (mid 60s)

the hotter the day.. the worst my MPG (duhh!) but I do have a smaller pulley (komp pulley) and the C3P intake.. not bad I think and my 18's are a bit heavier than my stock 17's.

around town, if I don't catch too many lights.. I can hit 19mpg or so..

the key to slowly apply throttle input and not let the engine rev over 2900 rpms.

In my case.. My torque comes sooner.. around 2500 rpms due to the mods.

With the foglight mounting option, does that run a higher risk of sucking in water if it is raining heavily?

Question

I can't wait to see the final product but it already scares me to loose the airboxes if I read correctly. When you think it will be available...or am I just gonna have to wait til Drag day?

Yes, the paint is the key to him getting into the 12s, didn't you know that
It reflects heat away from the intake allowing for cooler IATs. It also allows his car to be more aerodynamik(or is that "Chromodynamic???) !!!!
