--- LET C32 Intake Almost Ready ---
I know that some of you have heard about the new LET intake kit that will hit the market very soon, so I wanted to provide some information.
I have been testing the kit for the last 2 weeks and I continue to make small changes. However, I think I'm almost done...
The benefits of the LET Intake Kit:
It feels good to get 28 mpg and still be able to run a 12.4 1/4 mile at will. This pic was taken this morning during my drive to work. I can hit over 30 mpg when crusing at 55-60 mph on the freeway.

I will have an updated dyno graph tomorrow. I have mad some changes that will yield more power, but for now I will stick to the +16whp numbers. Keep in mind that this is 16whp more than the SL55 splitter and K&N filters. This wasn't a stock intake we were comparing with.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Now for the kicker...after 52 dyno pulls (yes, 52!) and a butt load of tuning, we shut the car off and installed the LET Intake thinking we had this C32 maxed out on power....boy were we wrong. The coolant temps were over 200, and the IAT's were above 170 F and the car still made +16WHP!!

I will post up pics once I'm certain there are no more changes to be made.
Are there any requests for design / style / color before I wrap up this project?

I would not be advertising the +8mpg increase as a benefit at this point. You may find that the display is now off from the change in airflow to the sensors. Plus most C32's at 50mph will get 26mpg so your 27+ is not that impressive unless there was full throttle and a bunch of stop an go thrown in.

Most C32's are not making 362+ Whp and able to run the 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds. I was filling up every other day before this mod. I travel over 70 miles a day to and from the office. I'm on my 3rd day now and still have over a 1/4 tank left. I easily picked up 10mpg.

Sounds like a great mod! I've never seen anything over 24mpg with mine. I went on a road trip and tested it to see just how high I could get the mpg up to and it never went over 24mpg with an average speed of 53mph (cruised most of the 150 mile trip at 65mph).
Is there a rough price on the intake yet? Pictures? As for design, close to stock and keep the cost down, at least for the first batch just to get the product out there.

Yup, pricing will be available soon. The design is close to stock, but there are 3 different ways to setup the intake. There will also be 3 different price points.
1. Single filter 3" / 2.5" cold air intake
2. Dual filter 3" intake with filters inside the engine bay mounted in front of air ducts. (used in above tests)
3. Drag setup - remove fog lights and have dual 3" / 2.5" filters with cold air setup.
I never use the fog lights and will most likely run this setup on my car.

Sounds awesome. I like the idea of #2 and #3. In the future it would be nice to get some sound/video clips as well to hear how it sounds with the better breathing. Keep up the great work and keep us posted.

Dude, why not throw some vinegar into the salad too??? I also live in ChiTown and do NOt have Jerry's mods and see almost 28 too (on the same trip south (Jerry goes North). If you stay out of the SC and run cruise, like I do, there's not problem in getting over 25 with the C32. My dad has a z-06 and he sees 28 on the highway, so these numbers are all very credible. Now, if you have a photo that does NOT back up these numbers, then please share. Jerry never said he was "hammering " the car!!!
Anyone that knows I-88 East and I-294 North at 7:00 AM can tell you that there is traffic....lots of traffic.
I was driving the car normal (have 2 kids that travel with me). The reason this is so impressive to me, is the fact that I used to get 16/19 mpg.
The above pic shows me going under 30mph.

Design= #3
Style= Carbon Fiber running thru engine bay/ or chrome
Color= Choice of owner/ Or black
Question: With the intake replacing the fog lamps wouldnt the filters get very dirty very quick being that low to the ground?

I was going to add that initially but then thought against it. Carbon fiber will drive the price up substantially, one would imagine anyway and it's purely cosmetic. Unless the price is the same I would rather not pay the premium for carbon fiber. At least under the hood which is rarely seen. That's my rational at least.
OR have a plain version AND the carbon version?

The drag setup / fog light removal would get cause the filters to get dirtier than normal. Not to mention that cleaning them would require you to remove the bumper....which I can now do blindfolded.
Again, I personally would use the drag setup. However, there are many C32 drivers that love their fog lights and would consider this stupid for everyday use.
The single filter cold air setup will be cheapest, followed by the #2 setup, and the drag setup would cost the most.

Dont mean to look a gift horse in the mouth........ but, with option #3 you would have to take the bumper off to clean the filters? And they get dirtier, quicker? This doesnt sound feesible to the average joe C32 driver. Am I off here?
The default color will be black. I'm considering having a new engine cover made in molded CF that would extend over the coil packs and cover up what the air boxes used to cover. The CF option would be an upgrade and cost more. The coil packs will be covered with the default setup.
