hi everyone,just wondering if it is possible that if i purchase a 2nd hand c32 ecu from the scrapyard,then send it to jerry for the jerry tune,and when i receive it back in the uk i swap it round with my original ecu,reason why i want to go this route is that i promised the misses i would not modify the merc..she wont find out this way cause it will be sent to my friends house,do you lot all understand what i mean???

ok,this is what i mean,i buy a 2nd hand ecu from a c32 that is written off,then i send it to jerry for the jerry tune group buy,after i receive it back in the uk i take off my original ecu and swap it with the jerry tune ecu..can this be done??will the car be ok due to the fact that it is from another c32??my wife wouldnt know if i gone down this route cause i promised her i wouldnt modify the merc

He said no, as in no because the ecu is coded to the vin #. Ecu's are not interchangeable.
You could however buy a new ecu from mercedes and do as you are planning, but that's not a very cost efective route.

I was told ECUs are not interchangable too, but don't know if Jerry can do something to make it work.
The whole shipping process is just 2-3 days, Jerry needs almost no time to make a tune. He received my ECU in the morning, and the thing was already sent out the same day.
Its a hard decision, but once you pulled your trigger, you will not regret.
I have the same problem with you, just went over it and now I got the tune. Tell you what, the tune turns your car to a completely different beast. I am totally amazed, had a few runs with the same cars of my buddy's, I pulled them right away, you won't believe it.
