Code3 SC pulley plus 178mm, any updates?

I thought there was at least one person running this setup and an SRT6 that was supposed to be dynoed? Can anyone shed some light on this?

I'm running it. As long as you are tuned for the boost (22psi in 3rd), it runs great

Any idea of what kind of power your putting down, track or dyno #'s?

Glad to see you enjoy the combo! It's truly a mean setup

I'm guessing around 350 to 370 RWHP with your set up.

Unfortunately, I haven't been to the track yet. I ran a 12.8 @108 with ASP (all four cats removed) only. It was probably about 50*F when I ran, so running in the dead humid heat of summer wouldn't do the mod justice. When it cools off a bit, I will go back to the track, but keep in mind I also have the Code3 H.E., Code3 intake, K&N's, and a tune now, which were all added after my last track day, so I won't be able to report definitive results from just the addition of the upper pulley. When I go back, I'll post up.

I forgot to mention that I constantly get a CEL (P0108 - MAP sensor high input) due to the high boost. If you bring it up to full boost a few times, it comes on. If you don't get on it too much, you'll probably be okay I don't even bother resetting it anymore

This can be cured with a MAP clamp and re-tune, but I need to get it on a Dyno first.

try removing the intake mod and running hard in 3rd..

I think it will help reducing the 22lb spike.

500E Signal Rot
Yes a MAF clamp will take care of the problem

It is simply a resistor that is added on the signal wire of the MAF sensor. It's job is exactly as it sounds- it's "limiting", or clamping the signal voltage to ensure it does not exceed the Mercedes-Benz specification. The clamp is basically just a rheostat- an adjustable resistor. We will typically put between 490 and 500 ohms of resistance in, which limits the MAF signal due to the increased airflow from the supercharger. Here are the specs. you'll want to see:

At idle, normal operating temp, the voltage on the MAF signal wire should be 1.32 to 1.35 volts.

At wide open throttle, you do not want to exceed 4.75 to 4.77 Volts.

Interesting... does this same approach apply to the C32 as well, which IIRC uses a MAP sensor instead of MAF?

That might be just enough to make a difference. I think If I dropped just a 1/2 pound, I would be just under MAP limit.

I wouldn't exactly call 50F hot.

Exactly. Last time I ran it was about 50*; nice and cool for making power. Right now its about 85+ so running in this heat will kill a lot of the gained power and wouldn't be an accurate comparison. I didn't do any baseline runs in the heat.

Well for me its a MAF clamp, for the C32 it would be a MAP clamp. Although, now that I think about it, a factory supercharged MB should already have something like this.

Could you speculate ¼ mile and trap speed with the combo? I wish someone had a dyno sheet that was running both pulleys. I thought Brandon had one on here but my eyes got tried reading.

I was speaking with a guy on the Audi board and he showed me a vid of his stage 3 B5 S4 just putting car lengths on a C32 with crank pulley, intake, exhaust and tune. I told him there is a new S/C pulley out that can be combined with the crank pulley for some nice gains. I told him I am not sure if it is in stage 3 S4 range or not but I would find out.

So I guess just looking for 185 pulley and S/C pulley setup #’s like a couple others here.

Thanks

Is his car blue by any chance? Where is he located?

Be careful....though these two combined sound like a powerhouse remember both C3P and LET are providing the safer mods to help us its us who mix or match item but at a cost of possible major issues...
There is always a faster car out there....

Oh ya I totally agree. I was just trying to give him and idea of what the C32 would do 1/4 and trap speed with these mods. They were thinking the C32 still only had the crank pulley option.

Well, I'm sure it's at least a few tenths faster. Most of the power gained seemed to be in the mid range. I still have pretty high IAT's though, so this is probably why the upper RPM range didn't benefit as much. I'm sure it's pulling a lot of timing right now, but once the IAT's are brought back in check, I think I will see some more power on the top end.

Don't get me wrong though, the car felt a lot faster after the upper pulley & tune, even in the summer heat (getting used to it now). It's still fun to feel the front of the car lift when you stab it at 80mph, though.

Did you know his car is stripped to the bones, did you know his car is 2600lbs soaking wet. Did you know his car runs high nines in 1/4 mile. I also believe it was the same dude who claimed his SRT8 was superior to our C32's and claimed his car was mid 12 secs stock.

Well I finally made it to the track with my 178 and Hoosier drag radials. I am very pleased and can only imagine how bad *** it would be with a Code3 pulley added on. I think I'm gonna try to get her into the 11's without increasing the boost though. Patiently awaiting the release of Needswings intake manifolds. Please update if anyone runs the pulley combo at the track.
