Gas with 10% Ethanol Blend in it? Is it bad for the c32?
This morning i went and got gas at my local gas station by my house and I noticed that it had an 10% Ethanol blend on it. When i filled up lat week i didnt notice the label but my ? is:
Is it okay to put this 10% blend in?
Lat week i got horrible gas mileage, about 200 miles to a tankful when i can go usually 240 before the light come on. I'm wondering if this is a result.
If this is the case, i'm a little peeved. Not only do I have to put in this Ethanol crap in, but i pay the same for a cheaper grade of fuel that gets me less mileage.
I do a lot on my part for the enviroment. Dont make my C32 a victim of this green fluff too.

Some
states have new labeling laws ,some states add it for change of season driving, some stations use it because it is cheaper, yes it is okay to use.
Can't figure why it would drop you over 15% mpg.![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)

Not sure either why such a drop on MPG. But all gas at any station now have ethanol in it. Actually it has been that way for a while now. Sucks but that is the way it is. Ethanol is worse on smaller engines like the lawn mower etc than your car. I usually carry a bottle of octane booster if I have to go to a no name brand place even if it is 93.

it takes more fuel to to make the same power when you run ethanol based fuel. so thats why you lost some of your fuel economy. i would rather run ethanol based fuel that is produced here in the US than pay for foreign oil. ethanol based fuel like e85 actually has a octane equivelent of 105 octane.

Yeah you should only be losing about 3% of your fuel economy going to E10 from normal gasoline. In general a gallon of Ethanol will produce about 70% the BTU's as a gallon of Gasoline.
