C32T Winter Project, 7-800Hp
So as most of you know I had some major problems with the painter, and he did not improve at all, on the contrary, it got worse. So when I was home the last time in August, I fired him. If I was living in the states, I would have sued his a##, but back here, it would not even be worth it!
The damages that he has done to the car among other things, both left and right front side panels, all the rubber seals on all the windows/sunroof, holes in the leather on the left drivers door, paint on most of the windows…And the list goes on and on…And that is without mentioning the “paint work”, witch looks like a five year old have been painting.
So this have, to say the least, taken a lot out of me and the project, and set me back time wise and moneywise quit substantially. Money wise to fix the damages and buying new parts will set me back about 10-12 000$.
I do have a new professional painter who have agreed to take the job, even after he have had a look on the car and the state of it, and I just yesterday got confirmation that he will have the time and location to do the job. So this is a big relief for me, because now I know that the car will be done in time for this year’s season.
I have during this time changed duty station as well, I asked to be moved from Lebanon since I felt that is was time to move on after three years. So I’m now in Somalia, and as you all can imagine, I have other things to worry about every day there. Small things like IED’s and security overall!
So again guys, I’m sorry about the lack of updates, and I hope to have some positive things to come in the near future.
All the best to all of you, and thank you for still showing interest in this project, it helps me going on!
I take this time to wish all of you a happy new year as well, and again, thanks for still showing an interest in the project!
But a magazine is doing a cover on the project in the coming number that hits the stores in April, so I’m totally psyched about that, and it will give coverage for the guys who has been working there asses of to make this happen.
But going on the track record of the project, I don’t want to hope too much! But these are the latest photos….What you can’t se on the photo of the car is that the “paintwork” is totally **** with so much wrong with it that I can’t list it all. And for you guys who have been following this tread, you know the story behind it all!
So by the time I pick it up, there is a totally new color on the car! Hope you like the photos!?
More updates as soon as I have them!
